Customers enjoy the picture quality, price, and easy setup of the 50" Class - LED - E-Series - 2160p - Smart - 4K UHD Home Theater Display with HDR. Many customers mentioned that the picture quality is great and they are very satisfied with the price. Some customers also mentioned that they love the on board Chromecast and it is great for gaming systems. On the downside, some customers mentioned that the remote control is simple and there are no built-in apps or tuner.
This is my 2nd Vizio TV. The first one was a 42" 720p. The picture at the time was excellent. The reliability was great as well. I just purchased the 50" 4K Vizio for our Master Bedroom to replace a 50" 720p LG which will go to my office where a great picture isn't necessary. The 4K picture is amazing! Even with non 4k shows & movies. I highly recommend Vizio for both its quality and value!

This was my first 4k and also Smart TV. Up until this purchase, I've had a bevy of devices connected to my dumb TV. I'm a tech guy by trade and I'm all about that, and the features this TV offered. The refresh rate is.. relaxing and comfortable on my eyes. It's a weird, hard to describe difference, but I attribute the lack of strain while watching TV to the refresh & resolution of this TV. Oddly, it's starting to change my dreams, but it feels good! I like the built in android device (chromecast, etc), and that the TV has both ethernet & wifi. I was able to plug in an old xbox with component cables (thus freeing up an HDMI port), as well as hook up (SPDF) my already existing surround sound system without effort. The power usage is great, though I do have it in full-off mode instead of standby (standby allows you to turn it on by casting a video to it). The TV also doesn't make much heat. The price, size & features were what sold me on this product. That, and I desperately needed to upgrade from my 1000BTU, 20 year old plasma TV. However, I have gripes: 1. Smart TV's gather a LOT of your data, and do weird things with it. Seriously, they figure out what devices are coming from your home internet and link them together for advertising and selling to others, and that's like, basic level scary. it doesn't even get into them working with other advertisers to build profiles about you, recording you through a microphone, or basic TV monitoring stuff. Read the TOS of your smart TV during setup - don't just hit NEXT, OK, NEXT, OK -- in fact, you can decline some of the services they're offering. Please look at these menus critically and know that you don't have to have them track you to be able to cast to your phone. 2. Some of the invasive monitoring services you can't decline - and have to be turned off in the settings. The kicker, it's not where you'd expect the option to be, it's hidden, nested in a "reset to factory" menu. This kind of behavior, to me, signifies a companies attitude toward their consumers. 3. The sound from the built-in speakers is bad. I think it's 2x5w speakers. You'll likely want an alternative sound source, especially since you're getting a Ultra-HD TV. The company makes a sound bar which compliments & interacts with the TV, but take that in consideration with the above. Also, the TV worked without any issue at all with a SPDF connection, which many non-portable devices seem to have. 4. Only one of the HDMI ports displays on this model is True 4K @120hz, as well as the casting feature. The HDMI ports are 4k but 60hz (computer shows 59.90) 5. My PC says that it can stream 8K to it, but apparently I don't have a device which can provide useful 8K to the TV to confirm whether it's down sampling. The computer's desktop is tinier, if that's helpful. 6. Not all of the adjustments options are clearly labeled - I've noticed (my friends haven't...) that the TV seems to shift in brightness as the content of what it's displaying changes. I've gone through the settings and can't seem to find this option. 7. They push the smart phone app, which I haven't tried. But I have a feeling it's the key to more features. I also think they're using it as incentive to join their creepy surveillance / people-sales program (smart TV terms of service). I'm happy enough being able to use the 'google cast' feature, which is seemingly, literally, everywhere nowadays.

This is a great big TV at a great price. A great picture and the best is through my cable provider and this TV I am able to use my phone or iPad and watch Live TV, Sporting events, and movies with Vizio Cast that sends a message from my iPad or phone to the TV and watch almost anything. I love this TV.
