The wired one will it be able to still record after it being unplugged. If so does that apply to the first generation model
Answered by Google Nest SupportHi Nick, Hope you're doing well. Just a heads-up: since this is the wired Nest Cam, it won't record once it's unplugged. That's the same for all first-generation Nest Cameras. Only the battery-powered Nest Cam models (Nest Cam Battery) can record without being plugged in.
Can the nest indoor plug in camera be used to see through a window?
Answered by Elfula2000Yes, that is how I have mines for years with no problem. The only issue is that you cannot use the night vision because of the reflection of the night vision light.
Planing to use this as a baby monitor. Can the feed be played continuously, If so, how long before feed is interrupted by a prompt to continue? Can the status light be turned off?
Answered by BenjagroWe plan on doing the same thing. As far as I can tell as long as the display is on it will show a live feed.

Answered by VladislavNest camera has more features and ability to cut specific portion of recorded video via web interface. New Google cam use application only and very limited.
If this is located inside a garage that sometimes goes below 32 degrees F, will it damage the camera?
Answered by ArmandoI currently have mine installed outside in a covered porch. Would not get wet but has been cold here in New England and the only issue I have is at times the video quality degrades showing purple shadows. I just turn the camera off and back on again via the app and it clears right up.
