On top of that, because they are 10 in. they have a nice tight clean hit when the bass drops. They may be a little on the pricey range for their value, but they are awesome speakers.

Posted by: tkdfishing from Miami on 04/22/2012I just got a pair of 10” Kickers CVR with an Alpine 500W. I got these installed on my 1500 RAM by the Scott and Eddie from Best Buy. They did an awesome job!!! I listen to bass music and Spanish music and it sounds awesome! You will truly feel these speakers kicking you on your back. The sound gets a little distorted from the bass not is not that bad. Before these I had the Audiobah special edition and I am glad I switched.

A Truly INCREDIBLE SUBWOOFER at a REASONABLE $$$

Posted by: BassHeadSC from Greenville,SC on 04/13/2012Let me start off by saying that since I first came into the bass scene back in high school,I've been searching for the perfect sounding sub at a reasonable price and I must say that I found it.Not long ago ,I splurged and bought a Comp 10 a few months ago which I hate due to it's lack of depth,power,and bad sound,and couldn't wait to get rid of it! It was time to replace my entry level Comp even if it meant spending over my $100 budget.So I dropped $130 on this VR,and sounds10x ,that's right 10x better than the Comp.Me being a fan of Techno and very bass heavy music such as old skool rap, I needed a sub that drops low and sounds clean ,this one drops down to a super low 25hz(almost at level of human hearing) ,that not many subs can produce even some of the costly ones.All I got with the Comp was boomy distortion ,and no low end response.My sealed box is phenomenal for the VR and keeps it air tight.It's DVC's provide such awesome sound quality while the high quality woofer cone puts out the unbelievable bass punch,and undistorted sound. I can't get over how powerful the Comp VR is,every note just SLAMS,and turns heads everywhere I go as people watch the entire car vibrate.I've had some 12's that didn't hit this hard or go this low !A few places I went tried to sell me the same quality subs for over $200,but this is all I need. My gain is only half up and bass on -1 and it about blows me out of the car,and just to think this hasn't been broken in yet !!!! I'm running off my 380 watt Arc Audio Foose Design 2200 amp,and controlling with my sweet Alpine CDA-9883 that I got back in 06'! I really couldn't ask for a better subwoofer ,I got a 2 year warranty for only $15,thanks Best Buy ,I'm a certified KICKER fan for life now!

Very good quality built woofer

If you buy this woofer you will find out that the cone structure heavy, if you try to move the cone with your fingers up and down you will find lots of resistance. This means this speaker requires lots of power to get it going. If you have a small amp, then stick with speakers like Polk 10 they are more sensative and will sound better with less power.
