Plug in one side to your router, plug the other to the device that you need and poof...a reliable internet connection. Things to understand with this type of a device. This is advertised as a 500 mb connection. This is total bandwith available, not what you will get from each device. Each device will be limited to a max of 100 mb. This is the equivalent of a old school hard wire connection. For most people this will be more than what you can get over WIFI. Only if you are using a N card and router will you possibly get more.
Made a huge difference in on-line usage for my PS3. Had a great wireless connection...but replaced with this...went from lag, to no lag. Used this with a Blu-Ray Smart Player, and works perfectly. This unit can have up to 256 additional units...but bought a total of 2 packs...and works perfect for PC's and PS3's. So for people that need a stable internet connection but they are too far away from their router...this is a great solution. They also make a 4 port item that allows you to connect up to 4 devices into 1 of these, and they can be mixed and matched.

Great solution for weak/no wireless signal

As long as you have wall outlet, this product offers great solution to substitute wireless internet connection. Completely plug & play, no network configuration required. All you need to know is where to plug in RJ-45 cable (aka Ethernet cable) on computer and that's all there's to it. When I purchased it, the price was the cheapest compared to similar products offered by well-known companies such as Netgear, Linksys, etc for same amount of transfer speed; even big online stores such as Amazon, Ebay had it for more money. I have been personally recommending this product to everyone around me. I regret not using this product any sooner. Only downsides you should consider before purchasing this though, are that you MAY get static noise coming from computer speakers, and make sure the adapters are plugged into the wall directly, not through surge protectors/multi outlet tabs. HOWEVER, you will encounter these issues with just about ANY powerline products, not just this particular brand. Static noise can be solved by using UPS.

No Agent needed for install

The install was as simple as plug it in and done!
My only complaint is the green light flashing at night is very bright but it is nothing that moving furniture didn't solve.
