Thin, sleek monitor that performs well
The VN247 is truly a fantastic monitor. The colors are sharp and vivid and the 1ms response time ensures great performance. The dual hdmi inputs are extremely helpful for connecting multiple devices. I am currently using two of these monitors together and the narrow bezel makes them great for multi monitor setups.

Quality, sleek monitor
This review is for the ASUS VN247HP: First of all, the store staff at my local Best Buy is wonderful. I've definitely utilized quite a bit of their time despite being generally knowledgeable about my purchases before going in. One of the manager's asked if I needed assistance, and had no issues getting this monitor price-matched to competitor and out the door in <10min. Product Review: I purchased this monitor on a whim to go with a build for my son as a holiday gift. I was looking at the store displays not really even considering the purchase (until manager offered honor price). Out of all of them, the overall design and picture allowed me to confidently decide on the ASUS VN247. Pros: I rarely judge a monitor on store display looks, and I normally read forums before deciding. This monitor looked decent compared to the others, but what really had me was the super slim bezel. The bezel on this monitor is 1st rate in this price range. However, there will be a very slight border around the screen that can be remedied by adjusting graphics card and/or source hardware/software settings (you may not even notice if you aren't a discerning gamer/editor). Solution is not 100% applicable w/ all hardware/software configurations* I'm not sure the 'actual' response time, but I can assure you that this is fast enough for gaming and high action. The monitor is absolutely gorgeous once calibrated. I also have discovered no dead/stuck pixels which is always a possibility and an unfortunate happening. I/O: 2x HDMI; 1x VGA; 3.5mm Unit comes with hdmi-dvi, 3.5mm, vga cables all nicely packaged!! Cons: Calibration Nation!!!! This monitor needed some serious calibrating out of the box. I'm no stranger to this, but this time it seemed a bit tedious. I've never found a screen that had commendable button placement, but calibration was a slight test in patience. Viewing angle is in line or slightly less than average. At proper viewing distances it shouldn't be an issue w/ single or multi setup (the current variance is barely notable and would not prevent me from a 2nd or 3rd purchase for multi). The cable input/output area is hidden by a hinged, plastic plate. This plate has no holes for cable routing as the bottom is open and cables are expected to run down and back. The plastic feels cheap but isn't used excessively. The area behind the cables is slightly recessed and made connecting the power cord a bit uncomfortable (be sure to make sure it's connected 100%). Other Thoughts: I calibrate every screen I purchase, and often do so many times over the life of each. That being said, don't expect to buy this monitor (or others for that matter) and not calibrate it properly to the best experience for your needs/placement. This monitor has built-in speakers that provide the plastic quality sound you'd expect from dirt cheap desktop speakers or from a laptop. While this isn't enough to knock off points, ASUS certainly could've omitted them and had a lower price. If you've read reviews, you may have seen neg. comments on the stand. Yes, it's quite narrow and easy to wobble. However, I found that it resets to normal very quickly. Even with regular jolts to the desk, it's not very distracting in my use. I will likely purchase another for multi setup. This monitor is vesa mount compatible. Thanks for your time in reading my review! I hope it will assist you in your decision.

Amazing
I use this as my current monitor, for the price you can not beat the quality Asus provides as well as the 1ms response time. It is great for gaming.
