A: I read that it needed to be mounted to the wall for security. Not what i needed so I returned it. Look for one that has sturdy sides and a larger bottom. That should keep it from tipping over. Good luck.

Sturdy and elegant
Had a few Best Buy points and decided to treat myself with a collection bookcase. Best thing ever, comes with screws to have it against the wall for safety purposes and it also allows me to adjust the size of the bookcase for each row.

As Was Expected
Nice unit. All fasteners were encased in plastic bubbles, on a single card, sorted to match assembly instructions, making it easy to verify all were present (far better than a bag which requires separation of parts to count them). Parts were also labeled to match instructions, and all fit together nicely.
