Works as advertised

The dishwasher works exactly as advertised, and does so quite well. It fits nicely on my countertop, and fits plenty of dishes for my bachelor lifestyle.
The hoses are a tad awkward when they're not being used, but an adhesive-backed hook on the side of the unit gets them out of the way without too much difficulty.
The quick-release connection to the sink works very well.
The display is a bit limited, though; it only displays two characters (the cycle code) and doesn't change until the cycle is done. There isn't any indication of how much time is remaining on the current cycle. This is a minor complaint, but worth mentioning.

It's o.k. but...

A little small for dinner plates, dishes are completely wet when finished, it takes over an hour 1 and 1/2 to wash dishes on the normal cycle. The inside rusted on me, alittle in the first week of use. I am replacing it for another one. I hate to wash dishes, Dishes can dry if you open the door after cycle completes.

Danby Portable Dishwasher a hit

Overall this is a great little portable dishwasher. I was skeptical about buying it without actually seeing one work but I was pleasantly surprised. This little beauty sits on the kitchen countertop and is no louder than the bigger models. Just right for a household of one or two people. The dishes come out sparkling clean as long as they are rinsed first. Dried on foods will need to be removed before loading. The dishes don't seem to dry well so I leave the dishwasher door open when it is finished or just hand dry them. If you hate doing dishes you will absolutely love this dishwasher.

I am pleased with my dishwasher. I've been doing a lot of research into what type of small portable dishwasher to purchase, and this one kept coming up. Many people have complained regarding the door and cracks. Mine has not done this, and I believe I am taking very good care of it. It's a little awkward inside. Not exactly sure how to put all these dishes in, and I'm not savvy. Either way, it rocks.
However, let me run down my list of "um......" issues.
1) The manual is useless. It might as well have been written in French and translated using the internet. I'm almost positive that's what happened. Many spelling errors and lack of detail.
2) The lack of detail. It doesn't explain many things in relation to how it washes. When I was running the normal cycle, it stopped. The lights were still on, but it was dead quiet. What the manual didn't say is that part of the 130 minute run time, it "sanitizes" by boiling the water inside the dishwasher. Good to know, because I opened it and it was full of water and I thought it was a programing issue.
3) It's kinda sorta big. I measured my space before purchasing, and when it came, it was one of the biggest boxes I've ever seen UPS deliver. Then I put it up on my counter - and it doesn't fit. But literally, it's like 1/8" too big. I rent, so I can't chop up my cabinets. I will "make it work".
Seems like I wrote a lot about the "issues", but it's really a great product. And if you're a Best Buy Reward Zone Silver member, it's free shipping! Woohooo! Save $70.

Nice Little Dishwasher

I'm really enjoying this dishwasher. I like the multiple cycles but tend to only use one. I've had it for about six weeks and haven't had any problems. I don’t anticipate any because it seems to be well built. It doesn't take up too much counter space and it's effective. Yes, it's small, but it does a fair amount of dishes at one time if you pack it right. Dishes come out clean if you remove dried-on particles. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase.
Thanks previous reviewers. It’s what I expected and I love it!

unpacked it, set it up, plugged it in, started it up, went running for my ear plugs because of the noise level. 5 minutes into the cycle it died. It just stopped and all the lights on the unit went out. That was the end of it. I didn't believe all the other reviewer before me and I get burned. Don't buy this product! Best Buy - stop selling it!

Descent dishwasher

If you buy this dishwasher, try to find it in your local store. Bestbuy.com uses UPS to ship this item. When I received mine, it looked like UPS had played football with it.
If you are single or don't eat too much, this dishwasher is great. If you are a family of three or more and don't want to run the dishwasher EVERY night, don't buy this one. It only holds four place settings. Really small.
