    • Peak Power Handling: 150 watts (The maximum amount of power an electronic device, like a speaker, can handle without damage. This refers to short bursts of power, while root mean square (RMS) power handling indicates the amount of continuous power a device can sustain. Higher levels of distortion can also occur at peak power levels when the device is powered beyond its recommended usage.)

    • Minimum Frequency Response: 65 hertz (Describes the maximum range of frequencies or musical tones a product can reproduce, from very low tones to very high treble tones. The minimum frequency or musical tone the speaker can reproduce. High treble tones have higher frequencies while low tones and deep bass have lower frequencies.)

Q: Are defintitive speakers good sound/quality? How do they compare with the bose speakers?

A: Just for some background, the guys who started Definitive left Bose to make there own company. This is just my opinion, i think Bose is over priced for what you get. I dont trust any of the speakers or tv that aren't in the magnolia section. Thats where they keep all the good stuff at Best Buy. Ask the guys at Best Buy to run some of the speakers through their paces find out what you think.

Q: Do these speakers come with the mounting brackets? If not, do the mounting brackets have to be Definitive?

A: They don't come with mounting brackets. No they don't need to be Definitive brand. I would just make sure that whatever brackets you end up using can hold some weight, these can get heavy.

Q: I thought all the speakers go to the receiver, however, I notice there are spots to plug into the sub... Which speakers go to the sub as there is not enough spots for all five? Thank you!

A: Definitive suggest to types of connections as listed below 1. Connect Front Left and Right Channels of Av Receiver to Sub. Then Connect Front right and Left Satellite speaker to Sub. This is why you can find 2 input and 2 Out put plug posts on the Sub. All other (Center, Rear right, Rear left and Sub woofer) will be connected directly from AV receiver. This connection is preferred by definitive as it takes advantage of dynamic LFE control 2. Connect front right and front left satellite speakers directly to AV receiver. I hope this helps

Q: Do I need a A/V Receiver to connect the speakers ?

A: Yes, you would need one to connect the speakers. These are not powered speakers (outside of the sub) but it still needs to get a signal. Honestly its so much easier now with the HDMI cable's, it makes setting up a surround sound so much simpler than back in the late 90's early 2000's.

Q: Do the satellite speakers have a female screw entry for ceiling mounting ?

A: They have 1/4” threads located in the back and bottom. Ceiling mounts would depend on the mounting brackets.

Q: What kind of cable do u need for the subwoofer, just a regular sub cable?

A: The sub is wired though the front speakers. Just some good quality speaker wire is needed.

Q: What additional outdoor speaker(s) would work with this system?

A: the insignia 2 way indoor outdoor speakers sound very good

Q: are these compatible to Yamaha TSR-7810

A: Receivers in general can connect to almost any system. . Any restrictions on the receiver should be in the instruction manual of the receiver, although that would be unusual.
