Don't Pinch Me, I'm Dreamin'... [CD]

Never heard of these guys. This was recommended to me by a friend from Illinois, where apparently the band is from. Rarely do I buy a CD where I like more than two songs, maybe three. On this one, however, I found myself becoming quickly addicted to eight of the ten songs on this recording. Great stuff! Good, solid, melodic rock -- not heavy, but not whimpy, either. Reminded me of old Doobie Brothers/Genesis/Styx and Skynnrd (trust me, you'll catch bits of all of it -- you can definitely hear the influences, so I'm guessing these guys aren't 20), but with a modern edge. Soaring harmonies, memorable songs -- the kind that you hear once and right away you know you like. A few good slower songs, too -- one with a very cool sax thing. I've suggested it to a couple of friends already. This CD rocks, reminds me of the stuff that was good coming out of the 70's.
