Q: Can the housing be recessed above a lay-in ceiling?
A: You would need to have a ceiling trim kit to recess the screen as you described, but it can be installed that way.
A: I hung the projector over the patio door. Behind the projector is a glass door leading into the living room and the light from the living room does not shine through the projector.

A: Hello. That model is not designed to be used outdoors, but there are 2 models from Elite Screens that can. 1. OMS100H-Electric. 2. OMS120H-Electric. Those models are rated and tested to be used outdoors.

A: Yes comes with bracket that is ceiling capable
