A: Yes I have this screen hanging in my church. I have a drop paneled ceiling. I put "S" hooks on each end of the screen and attached a chain on each end of the screen; then I attached the chain around the tie beam in the ceiling. I am in a commercial building.
Q: What is the actual screen color
A: The screen is white with black borders. The case is black.
Q: is this screen good for Optoma short throw projectors
A: No Short throw projectors need an extremely flat surface and there are small waves in the fabric A flat wall is better
Q: Does it connect to a wall outlet?
A: Yes it does. There are no batteries for the screen itself, only for the remote used for raising/lowering remotely. (There is a hard-wired attachment you can use to raise/lower the screen without a remote, too.) The supplied power cord is also pretty short, so make sure to put it somewhere there is power near the ceiling or be ready to use an extension cord.
Q: Is there a way to set a stop with this screen so when it powers on it stops at a desired length?
A: Yes There are 2 adjusting screws inside the case at the cord end that allow adjustments in 1/2 inch increments The manufacturer no longer posts instructions because too many people screwed it up though They do include a tool for doing it but a 5/32 Allen wrench works too
A: Of course I cant see why not if it were done by a true professional
Q: How far down can you lower the screen? I.e. how much black is available above the projection area?
A: The screen has 8” of black fabric above the actual screen This is the factory adjusted maximum. It can be decreased but the manufacturer does not give clear instructions about how to do it and the You-tube videos are not helpful either
A: Hello. This model is 16x9.
