Q: Does this watch track distance?
A: I did not see anything in the book for tracking distance. I think some of the more expensive ones might have that feature. If you have a smart phone with GPS, you might use that. Truthfully, I have been more interested in heart rate zones, time spent in-zone, and calories consumed.
Q: can the batery of the transmitter be replaced?
A: Yes you can easily change the battery, it can be easily opened with the clip from the strap. My battery lasted a month.
A: The FT4 is a relatively basic unit from Polar. It does not have any mobile connectivity or download options - Mike @ Polar USA
Q: Can only men use Polar - FT4 Men's Heart Rate Monitor - Silver/Black
A: i'm a female and I bought the Silver FT4 after I got tired of my pink one. I believe they're essentially unisex
Q: What are the size and dimensions of the chest strap?
A: The FT4 comes with what is the M-XXL size. It has an adjustable range of 25-54" - Mike @ PolarUSA
A: Don't know the weight, but 2 females can carry it without it even being a struggle. Issue isn't weight, it is size - needed to borrow a pickup truck and it barely fit.
Q: Does this watch track calories burned when i'm not working out?
A: No it does not, unless you start it manually.
