This was the only Windows Phone that was offered at the time by Verizon (carrier of choice). I do like the phone and have had no issues with it at all, in the month that I've owned it. It's responsive, good call quality and has a great display. The battery life could be better but all in all, it's been a great and fun phone.3 out of 3 found this review helpful.

Wanted to see if I could find a phone which would make my iPhone feel obsolete and thought Windows Phone would be the best chance at that.
Unfortunately, turns out even Windows Phone is seriously behind.0 out of 24 found this review helpful.

A perfect first smartphone5

I've had this phone about 10 months now and have very few concerns with it. The big issue that a lot of people have with the Windows Phone OS is the lack of apps/games, which for me wasn't a huge issue since I already have an iPod touch for all that stuff. If you can get past the lack of apps, this is a fantastic phone that you will fall in love with very quickly. In fact, the lack of apps helps to conserve battery life, and for the most part I can go just about 2 days without charging my phone. I use the phone mostly for social media and the basic texting/calling, so I don't use a whole lot of data or battery life.
As for the positives, the user interface is very simple, with the customizable tiles on one page and a simple, alphabetical list of all your applications on the other page. If you're a first-time smartphone user, I would recommend this phone (or any other Windows Phone) with great confidence. The People tile is also very convenient, as you can combine updates from multiple social media websites into one stream, and if you don't like that then you can use the separate Facebook/Twitter/LinkedIn apps. I love that you can set the tiles on the home page yourself and can pin basically any page to the home for instant easy access. This phone does everything I need it to, and does so very effectively. If you don't require too much out of your smartphone, look no further.
Also, buy a case for this phone and you'll never have to worry about durability. I drop my phone nearly once a week and the gel case and screen cover I use have kept it basically in perfect condition.8 out of 12 found this review helpful.

Verizon needs more Windows 7 phones! I came from a Palm Pre Plus that I also loved. It took a while to get me to move to a new phone and this ($29 from verizon) got me to move. I have had it for a week and it really has performed well.7 out of 8 found this review helpful.

I've owned a blackberry storm, tour, droid and droid 2. I think this phone is better than all of them. The OS is very pleasing and easy to use. The keyboard is the best touch screen keyboard i've ever used, and I've got big fingers. The camera has no shutter wait. You press the button and it takes the picture instantly. The droid 2 took forever to take a pictures. Being a first generation OS, I can't wait for the next one to come out.
You will not be disappointed with this phone.14 out of 14 found this review helpful.

The WP7 operating system is definately one of the best operating systems on the market. In my opinion, this phone is much faster and easier to use than my Droid Eris. Texting/Typing is really good. I type fast and inacurately. This phone does an excellent job correcting my mistakes without getting in the way and over correcting.
Really, the only bad thing about this phone is that it's not popular enough to have a really good app store (yet?). If you're app crazy, this probably isnt' the right phone for you right now. However, if you want a phone to help you better organize your life, I highly recommend this phone. My next phone will be a WP7 phone, however, I'm holding out for better hardware; a Nokia perhaps... if they ever get around to releasing one for Verizion.15 out of 16 found this review helpful.

I loved this phone right away, it makes Android look like a cheap knock-off, and does everything that most people need it for.7 out of 7 found this review helpful.

Excellent phone, better OS5

First off, the phone is not a high end phone - just look at the specs. That said, it is still above the quality of many phones running Android that I have seen these days. I've owned the phone for over a month and I have yet to run into any technical difficulties nor any failure in battery operation.
It performs wonderfully well when I need to conduct any business functions - I have rarely used this phone as a business tool, but when I do, it never slips up.
The camera is excellent, but it won't record good audio at a concert. Big surprise.
As is usual for any handheld device, gaming and videos drains the battery. Normal use - heavy texting, light calling, email push on, news updates pushed - and it will live throughout a full work day. If you turn on battery save function, the phone can last 20 hours.
The OS is the real gem in this phone - it is simple to use and wonderfully well designed. All of my email accounts are combined into one inbox, Facebook is built into the phone so you never need to download the App, Bing search is a beautiful thing that everyone should study (Local scout, search for book based on a photo of the cover, built in QR reader, translate text by taking a photo of it) and Skydrive and Office integration are really useful. All of my photos are automatically placed on the internet, and I've never used a better word processor on a mobile device. I wrote 2 papers for school on my phone.
Ignore any complaints about App limitations - I've found no lack in Apps I want and need. The most important ones are built into the OS. And the trials! Almost every app on the marketplace has a trial function - many trials are nearly fully functional, too. You never have to gamble - you'll always be able to test an App.
The Zune music and video function is wonderfully done - the Zune software is the cleanest sync software on the market (iTunes is painful to use now that I've used Zune) and the design of the music player built into the phone is magical. Also, if you use any music or video based App, such as YouTube or iHeartRadio, it is integrated into the Zune App.
Gaming is a delight on this phone - Microsoft does a good job of attracting the best developers, and the Xbox Live titles are always polished. There aren't many half-baked games on here, like I've seen on Droids and iPhones.
The mobile Marketplace for shopping for Apps and Music is very well designed - details on the product, reviews, and related products are all very easy to find in the Marketplace.
The key selling point is that the Windows Phone completes the Microsoft ecosystem - Xbox Live integration, Office integration, Facebook integration, Skydrive integration, Zune integration and Bing integration. If you have invested in any one part of their ecosystem, using this phone just makes it even easier.21 out of 21 found this review helpful.

Trophy and Mango, Nothing Better!5

The Trophy with Windows Phone 7.5 has everything that you would need on a Smartphone. I use it mostly for business connected to Exchange 2010 which makes it the best dual capabilities smartphone for business and leisure. The sound system is amazing and the pictures are sharp and clean. Having native Lync and SharePoint is a HUGE advantage over the clunky droid and iphone. Calls on Trophy are crisp and clear and never dropped calls. Battery last a reasonable time for Smartphones and browsing the internet with IE9 is lightning fast. The People hub is amazing and easy to add contacts or groups. Local Scout is really a nice feature. It quickly finds ALL the restaurants, shops and other places of interest in our city and when we travel. There are so many other nice features with this phone. We liked the phone so much that my wife bought a Trophy as well. She loves it and uses it also as a dual purpose Smartphone. We would highly recommend the Trophy to anyone that wants to replace their droid or iphone. Or even as a first time Smartphone buyer.12 out of 12 found this review helpful.
