Q: can unit be used as a steamer?
A: No because its a deep fryer
Q: what is tank made of that hold oil.also how do clean tank keep oil builing up?
A: It's a coated steel oil tank. It cleans up very easily with a regular plastic (non metal) scrubber sponge. I've had no problem with any sticking or buildup at all. I've only cleaned mine by hand so far, but I'm sure it would do well if I just popped it in the dishwasher.
Q: What is the maximum temp. setting?
A: 375 degrees
Q: About how many chicken wingettes would u say it can hold?
A: Of course depending on the size of the bird parts. I'd say 8 to 10 wingettes or 4 or 5 whole wings. I've not done wings yet in mine but I've been able to fit 4 "Long John Silver" sized fish fillets in the fryer at a time if that helps. Looks like 5 or 6 chicken legs at a time would fit in it also.
A: Thank you for your question. The power cord included with this unit is the only cord available.
