Posted by: from Clarksville, TN on 02/27/2013Genre: Comedy. Drama and Action in the last 30 minutes. Length: 98 minutes "Your wish is her desire. Hiyori's a sweet, shy girl who's used to living in the back-ground. Now, the wallflower is ready to bloom and reveal a big secret: she's totally infatuated with Tomoki! To get closer to the dirty-minded object of her affection, she joins the New World Discovery Club. With Tomoki's lazy love of peace and quiet, he's not interested in accomodating any new club memners and tries to scare Hiyori away with his usual perverted antics. Nonetheless, she remains committed to her crush and starts bonding with Ikaros, Nymph, and the gang - until a sudden, tragic accident changes everything. It seems Hiyori has a deeper - and more dangerous - link to the Angeloids than anyone supected! How is she connected to the Synapse? Why is she trying to kill Tomoki, even afterconfessing her feelings? Find out in the hilarious, super-sexy Heaven's Lost Property movie, The Angeloid of Clockwork!" Well, it took Best Buy long enough to get this on the website. Had almost given up hope and gone through other routes but it got put up the last week before release. And for the cheapest price around, too! Can't beat that, but I'm sure a lot of preorders were lost because of it. That aside, just watched through the movie and I had mixed feelings. The first half is pretty much a recap of the rest of the series and I was leaning towards a 3-star rating. It almost felt like a simple OVA. However, the last half manages to evoke a lot of feelings that the series never did. There's actually some real emotion going on between Hiyori and Tomoki which I really enjoyed. Really hoping that some of this might be continued in the announced season 3. Hiyori is the only new character introduced in the movie which makes it easier to keep up with. New found respect for Tomoki as he isn't a complete pervert here, too. And after what happens, have to hate the guts of the "Master" in Synapse. Was great to catch this in Blu-ray. Own the series on DVD and can't bring myself to shell out the $60+ for the Forte Blu-ray release in June. Graphics were very nice although there were 1-2 moments of slightly out of place CG scenes. Never enjoyed the English voicing of the series so I kept it on the original audio. However, English is 5.1 surround sound. Japanese is only 2.1 :/ Also, you cannot switch the audio/subtitles during the playing of the movie. You have to go to the menu every time. I found this extremely annoying as I wanted to see what Hiyori sounded like in both versions. Extras are decent. Full-length English commentary. Original trailers and commercials for Japan and North America. And a few trailers which you've likely seen if you've bought any Funimation titles in the last 6 months. With the toned-down perviness in this movie, I definitely recommend it to everyone. The last half saved it for me and makes it a definite must-own title. Select stores will have it in stock...although mine did not. Still, I got it on the release date so no complaints.
