Q: Will this work on a Xbox one
A: I would NOT purchase this product. Mine only worked for one day. When I attempted to contact the manufacture they would not offer replacement, even though it it advertised with a 3 year warranty!
A: While I have not tried it for the application you suggest, there is no reason that it should not work well.
Q: Will this work on my PlayStation?
A: Yes it will.
A: it is fairly short 2 to 3 inches is best guess without measuring

A: It will allow you to connect the right device for storage yes but it does not have storage capacity.
A: No because switch has an Ethernet outlet and this adapter has USB outlets. Unless you have the connectors to match up which would be a pain.
Q: Can I plug an external microphone (fifine clip on) into this
A: yeah you should be able to. I use a Blue Yeti mic with this just fine.
