Works great, has a half-load feature

I have this dishwasher for over 5 years now. The previous dishwasher had a half-load feature allowing loading and washing only the bottom or top shelves saving time, water and energy. This dishwasher was the only one offering this feature at the time when we were shopping for a new dishwasher at BestBuy. We bought it and so far have no regrets. It is quiet, easy to use, looks great (all buttons are on top of the door, so the front of the dishwasher looks clean). There are many programming options most of which (sanitizing, etc.) we don’t use. We usually choose extra dry and high spray features and most of the time run it in half-load mode, which probably saved us quite some $$$ over the five years we had been using it.

Very pleased with our new LG - 24" Built-In Dishwasher. Cleans well and easy to operate and is very quiet. I particularly like the energy saver settings where you can wash just the top row of glassware or just the bottom load. It has come in handy when you don't have enough dishes for a full load but still want them done and out of the way. We have no complaints.

We just upgraded our dishwasher and were amazed how clean everything was. The controls are hidden and easy to program. We can load almost twice as many dishes into numerous configurations. You can change the racks to accommodate almost anything; however, you'll need to relock the adjustable racks into place as they don't seem to stay. Not a big problem once you have an item in place though. It's extremely quiet so we can run the dishwasher while watching TV.

This is a great dishwasher for the most part. It is incredibly quiet and the configurability of the rows on the bottom rack is awesome. It gets my dishes incredibly clean which is very refreshing from my old one.
The top rack is terrible, to the point where I would probably not purchase it again if I had another chance. The rows are oddly spaced making some way too narrow to use for glasses or mugs. There is also a rack that claims it can be used for wine glasses, but the row is way too narrow to fit a regular wine glass with the rack down, so you have to take up 2 whole rows to use it which is a major waste of space.
The wash cycle takes over 2 hours to complete - it is not a quick machine at all.
Overall, I think it is a technically good machine and well built in all aspects except for the top rack. However, the top rack is so bad it would definitely make me reconsider my purchase.

Don't like it, I wish I could take it back

The outside of it stains very very easily and when you clean it it never looks clean. The stains keep coming back even with a good stainless cleaner. The detergent very often gets stuck in the detergent pocket and after the cycle is done, there's still detergent left in there. The glasses and cups can't be placed in an upright position on the upper rack because it is too long and very weirdly made. Nothing actually fits very well anywhere, not easy to load at all. I really dislike this washer. If I could take it back I would do it without hesitation. The only good part about it is that it is very very quiet, u can't even hear it. But definitely too expensive for what it offeres.

I read so many mixed reviews on so many dishwashers. But after having to change out our old dishwasher of 17 years (the good ol' no frills Maytag), this dishwasher is simply amazing. It fits so many dishes, way more than my old dishwasher. I love, love the configurations and how many more cups I can put on top! It is so quiet, and plays this cute melody when it is done. It takes a long time to do a load on normal (2 hours and 11 minutes) but I think that is because of the energy saver feature. I just hope this dishwasher will last us a long time, like our other one, but in the meantime I am really loving it and have no regrets buying it. In fact, I sing it's praises to all my family and friends. I haven't used all the features on the dishwasher yet ( like the half load cleaning, all the different levels of cleaning, and the adjusting of the top shelf) but the normal cleaning has been perfect so far!

This dishwasher is quiet and does a decent job of cleaning the dishes. I have only used the normal cycle so maybe I should try the pots/pans cycle to get better cleaning. I like the hidden controls. There is also lots of room for tall items on the bottom rack.

We love this dishwasher! It washes beautifully! Inside and out the stainless steel looks great! Pots, pans, dishes, utensils ...all of it, beautifully cleaned. A really amazing feature: how quite it runs. I can not believe it! Cons: The buttons light up but not the words so you can not see the words unless the room light is on. They could of had the function/cycle button words light up. Also If door is not completely open flat, bottom rack goes off track. Besides the two small details described... It's great!
A:AnswerDishwashers may come in standard or tall tub designs; standard tub dishwashers have a service kickplate beneath the dishwasher door that allows for simpler maintenance and installation, but tall tub dishwashers have approximately 20% more capacity and better sound dampening from having a continuous front door.
A:AnswerAdjust the level of rinse aid. Turn the dial up a few notches. Also, use the extra dry feature.
Try using a dishwasher cleaner. I believe oxyclean has some type of dishwasher cleaner. Also, have you cleaned the filter lately?
As far as the refrigerator goes, have you changed the filter and then ran the water for a couple of minutes?
A:AnswerFits in a standard opening without any trouble. Just remember when they say the water line must enter from the bottom left, they mean it ! Other than that , it installed in minutes. Very easy.
