First the bad:
Coming from an IPhone 4, my old phone was a lot smaller, so getting use to the size was a major difference. additionally, the Nokia 1020 does not sit flat on its back (like every other phone) because of the GIGANTIC camera on the back (but I'm willing to sacrifice that feature for the amazing picture quality).
This is not the phone you keep in your back pocket. Even though I purchased the BestBuy protection software, I am in constant worry of breaking the lens on my camera or damaging the face in any way. This phone is not for those users who enjoy the super-simplisitc approach of the IOS software (even though the IOS 7 update is pretty stinkin cool).
Something that I miss about the IPhone is the drop down menu from the top of the screen, it allowed easy access to everything that you missed while your phone was unattended.
Now the good:
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this camera. It is by far the best thing about this phone, obviously. IPhone rear camera = 5MP, Nokia 1020 rear camera 41MP. Clearly, the Nokia has the better camera. I can fully zoom in the camera, focus, and after the picture is taken it zooms even more! And I can clearly see my friends football jersey numbers from the middle of the stands half way up.
I love the "group" contact feature. I can choose to add as many groups as I want to, and in each group I can add people. For example, I have several jobs, and its sometimes a hassle to think about who i work with at each job, so each job got a group. And each contact has a link to their Twitter, Facebook, (or any other social media), along with any other pertinent information. Plus with the social media updates, I get their status updates right to my phone (kinda cool/stalkerish).
The homepage is completely customizable to fit you with the different size options for the tiles, along with the settings options.
Call quality is awesome.
This phone is amazing, and I brag about it to my friends all the time when they ask about it.
I would recommend purchasing a screen protector for this phone (I purchased an ArmorSuit MilitaryShield, and it has "healing properties")
Last thing, I have only dropped my phone once (I have butterfingers), and the large reason I haven't dropped it more is the handy hand strap that came with my phone.
