    great electric guitar for beginner

Posted by: from st.charles, mo on 11/03/2012We purchased this for our daughter for her birthday! She was absolutely thrilled when she saw it! She is currently teaching her self to play it as she did with her acoustic guitar. The guitar sounds great, the amp is plenty strong for a novice to start with.

Posted by: from on 10/26/2012Was skeptical about buying the electric and acoustic pack because of some of the reviews but glad I did. Everything was included for both and I began learning to play right away.

    awesome guitar!

Posted by: from on 10/03/2012It is a really great deal. The guitar alone could be sold for $150 so the accessories it comes with are a bonus! The only thing that is worth complaining about are the strings. But it's only about $5 for a good set. The amp sounds great after replacing the strings. I would definitely consider buying this guitar again if mine breaks.

    Great beginners guitar

Posted by: from on 09/05/2012This guitar set is a very good beginners set. I happened to pick this up on monday while the labor day sale was going on, so I got this awesome package for $70 which is a steal considering all that it comes with. This is not a very good professional guitar because it doesnt have that unique and savvy sound to it,and it is cheaply made, but for someone just starting out, I cant reccomend this enough. The only problem would be the strings that come with the guitar. They are terrible, and snap very easily. They are cheap, so I suggest buying a pair of good strings with it.

    Great guitar after some work

Posted by: from Ohio on 08/09/2012WARNING! Very first thing you need to do when you get it TAKE THE STRINGS OFF AND THROW THEM AND THE SPARE AWAY. They are designed to break, i would recommend elixir strings very nice sound, very strong, an prevents rust. the truss rod was all out of wack, take it to a local music store an they'll adjust it for free takes about 5 minutes. Great guitar, just made by people who dont even know what a guitar is, lol.

Didnt work out of the box

Posted by: from Canton, GA on 06/14/2012I ordered this online and it shipped to me quickly. I thought it would be a great way to start learning to play the guitar, very inexpensive to get started with a guitar and amp. When I opened the box, i noticed the guitar was very dirty and dusty. I connected the guitar to the amp, plug it all in and it seemed to work ok. I played with it for approx 2 mins then had to do something else. I came back to it about an hour later and could not get any sound out of the amp. I moved it to another room and it worked for about 60 seconds then no sound again. I called Gibson support and told them what I was experiencing. They told me it seemed like the guitar was defective and I should return it to the retailer. The next day I returned it and at this point I had lost the desire to learn to play.

Posted by: from Baltimore, MD on 06/07/2012Nephew wouldn't even try to play it. Apparently he's trying to trade it for a pair of earbuds. Digital kids suck.

    For $80 can't go wrong.

Posted by: from Danbury on 06/01/2012Got this on sale for $80 along with the "free" electric guitar pack. All I can say is $80 for JUST the guitar would have been a bargain. The critical remarks about accessories are true, however for $80 the guitar ALONE is worth the price.
