Q: Does it work with normal electric (coil) stove top?
A: Yes, you can use this on an electric range.
Q: I have my Mom's 6 qt. Mirro-Matic , but no instructions or recipes. How can I get these? Thank you
A: If you go to Mirro Matic on line they have instructions and/or booklets, there is also a site that sells vintage instructions. There are many cookbooks that have recipes, my favorite is Better Homes and Gardens.
Q: Is this stainless or aluminium?
A: This product is made of aluminum.
A: no, but the cooking times can be varied. So far I haven't had to change any times because of the one pressure setting.
A: You will need a timer. The cookbook that came with it shows some of the times. 10 min for chili, 45 minutes for a pork roast, etc.
Q: Does it work with a flat surface stove?
A: Yes, this pressure cooker will work with a flat cooktop.
