A: Yes you can easily change the battery, it can be easily opened with the clip from the strap. My battery lasted a month.

A: Don't know the weight, but 2 females can carry it without it even being a struggle. Issue isn't weight, it is size - needed to borrow a pickup truck and it barely fit.
Q: Does this watch track calories burned when i'm not working out?
A: No it does not, unless you start it manually.

A: Yes you must wear the chest strap. Unlike a Fitbit or wrist base monitor, the Polar watch is for exercise use so you'll be wearing the chest strap
