A: Yes, the tripod ABSOLUTELY will. You will need to grab a smartphone tripod mount, which only costs a couple dollars, and Best Buy usually has them in stock. You can also get even nicer ones online as well.
A: I have not actually weighed the tripod, but the weight in the specs is a typo. I would say it is probably 6.8 pounds, certainly not 68.8!!! F.Y.I.-As far as I know, there is no lead in the construction.
