Posted by: kc6100 from Puyallup, WA on 06/08/2013I have been using generic mouse pads for years. This was my first "gaming" mouse pad. I was skeptic at first, but for the same price as other mouse pads, I decided to give it a try.
The first time my mouse touched the pad, I couldn't believe how much dpi I was losing by using a generic mouse pad. This has made a significant difference in speed and accuracy.
The only downfall is it does not come with a wrist rest for people like me who are accustomed to having one.

It's the best mousepad I've ever used
5
Posted by: nature1ders from Bolingbrook, IL on 04/13/2013I've had all kinds of mousepads in my life and this is the best one I've ever used. It's perfect and lasted me so long I ordered another as a spare. It does block wireless signals which means you just need to buy something like a USB desktop dock and then you are good to go.

Good, but a step back from previous design
4
Posted by: Skates97 from Anaheim Hills, CA on 03/08/2013I have had the previous version of the Rocketfish Gaming Mouse Pad (the black and red one) for about 5 years . This is basically the same thing, they just changed the size and shape of it. The size that is listed is not entirely accurate. This one is listed at 13" x 10" but the 13" is a diagonal measurement. The actual size is 12.2" x 9.3" and because it is an odd shape the usable area is 10"w x 8"h. The previous design was rectangular and had a usable area of 12.5"w x 9.5"h.
Other than the change in the size, I have no complaints. My last pad held up to many years and hours of use both work and gaming with no problems. When the rubber feet eventually fell off, I took some of the rubbery no-slip liner that you would put in a drawer as a liner and some double sided tape and put that on the side I don't use. That kept it from slipping around and got me another three years of use out of it. I always use the "Control" side which after all those years of use has become almost as smooth as the "Speed" side, hence my reason for purchasing a new one.

Posted by: from Charleston, SC on 01/31/2013Once I got home and it was unwrapped, I was surprised that it didn't work. Tried an older optical mouse on it and it worked fine, though.
