A: Depends on what you are mounting to and the weight of the product you are attaching to it. If it's a hollow wall/ceiling I like to use Togglers. If solid wood, then wood screws. If hanging over someones head, make sure the material can handle the weight and the hardware is rated for 5 times the weight of your product. The footprint is aprox. 3"
Q: Does it lock in place, either up, down, or sideways.
A: There is no lock for the rotation. The rotation is not a full 360 degrees as there is a stop bolt on the rotation plate.The up and down is held in place with a locking bolt which prevents the mount bracket from moving.
Q: does this mount flipup so that it hides under the cabinet
A: No. The mount rotates but can not be folded under the cabinet.
A: Yes it has a quick mount and is very easy to mount and un-mount a TV.
Q: How far from the cabinet does this hang?
A: This measurement cannot be given without having the TV mounted on it and seeing how low it needs to hang. The best option is to mount the mount and TV and see if you like how it fits in the space. Best Buy does offer a 15 day return period to exchange.
Q: Can I use it in a Motorhome?
A: If you have the space you should be able to use this mount without any issues. You should be able to tighten up or loosen certain points on the mount to keep it stationary.
Q: How do you mount a satellite cable box associated with TV being mounted?
A: This mount is only capable of mounting a TV, no other equipment can be mounted on this mount. There may be other mounts you can purchase in addition that will allow you to mount additional equipment.
Q: What is the max extended length down? i.e. how much lower than the cabnet will the tv sit?
A: That is going to depend entirely on the size of the TV being mounted. This mount can accommodate a TV up to 22 inches. Mounting a larger TV or a TV with a larger bezel will result in less clearance to the cabinet.
