Samsung - Galaxy Stratosphere II 4G Mobile Phone - Black (Verizon Wireless) (36 out of 39)
I love the smartphone. This was my first.

Posted by: from Central New Jersey on 06/17/2013Although having an external keyboard was a 'must-have' for me, after 5 minutes using the screen keyboard, I wish I didn't get the external one. The phone is way too heavy and I have developed wrist pain as a result of holding it. I love using the phone, which is why I use it so much. I love accessing the internet on it. It's very fast. I love the 4G connection which works everywhere. According to my BestBuy sales person, there is no cover to purchase for it and my ZAGG cover is already scratched up. The cameral is great. There are a number of 'weird' things that have happened in using the phone which are unexplainable to me. My last day of my first month, it didn't use my wireless connection and I went 'over' my limit without my knowledge. It posted a video I had done using the phone upside down on facebook. It 'unsecured' itself and no longer required swiping to activate the phone. I'm not sure if these are normal glitches, or if it's a real problem with this phone yet. And, although the salesperson said he transferred all my contacts from my old phone to this one, they are all there (?).

Frustrating Keyboard; Good Display
3
Posted by: from IL on 06/13/2013I am rather disappointed in this phone. We printed all 197 pages of the user manual and we still can't figure out how to do many functions that would seem intuitive. I bought this model because I really wanted a keyboard, but after 2 months of use, the keys are still too small for even small fingers, they don't press easily, there isn't enough space between keys, the "feel" of the keys is not deep enough to enable typing without looking at the keyboard, they are slow, i.e. I type more mistakes than words! I can't figure out how to get the msgs spoken to me aloud either (a feature on my old phone). The phone also seems to always require an extra step to do anything, i.e. a 1-step process (e.g. redial the last number) might take 3 steps. Maybe there are shortcuts, but after 2 months of searching, my instinct still takes me throught a lot of screens!

like the phone; my first smart phone; learning it

Posted by: from Vienna, VA on 06/07/2013Daughter recommended it as a first smart phone. I'm getting used to it and after having taken a class find that it is pretty intuitive. It definitely was not at first. I'm not a technology fan so will probably never make use of all of its features. Once I learned how to answer it and to make calls it's fine. The speaker is very good and I use it a lot.

Not a bad option

Posted by: from Bellevue, WA on 05/31/2013We got this phone as a replacement, and it seems to work just fine...except for the auto correct. Tends to delete entire paragraphs. Overall, it's a good phone at a good value.

Great phone with a keyboard
4
Posted by: from Gainesville, VA on 05/28/2013This was purchased for my daughter about to go to college. She wanted a keyboard and I was happy to find one that had newer technology. Her only complaint is that it doesn't fit well into pockets. She ha even begun using more of the touch screen features since it works so well.
