A: Worked for me replacing a Barracuda. Understand, this is a SATA III drive. You need a motherboard with SATA ability. I used the SABRENT BK-HDDH bracket to mount it.
Q: Will this harddrive fit into a PS3?
A: No it won't. The PS3 uses 2.5" drives. This is a 3.5" drive.
Q: I have a Toshiba MJA2160BH laptop hard drive that I need to replace.
A: Laptops all use size 2.5. The Seagate model here is for Desktops and is size 3.5 .
Q: Will this hard drive work in a Swann 8 channel cctv dvr?
A: Yes if its a SATA interface.
A: The Seagate ST310005N1A1AS is 6Gb/s SATA and is backwards compatible with 3Gb/s SATA.
Q: Formated
A: Internal hard drives do not ship with any formatting as they may be used in a variety of systems. Formatting the drive for use with Windows 7 is fairly quick and painless through Disk Management. Additionally, Windows may even ask you if you want to format the drive upon first boot.
