Q: Can you have 2 different volumes for the same source of music
A: Hi Frank I am assuming (since only one input source is selected) that you are asking if you can separately control the volumes of the various speaker pairs selected. This unit is awesome for speaker pair selection. Four different pairs! Which is great if using for speaker pairs in separate rooms. However, the volume is a constant for all of them. You cannot independently change the volume between speakers pair A and D. What I did do was use the Line Out to another amps AUX (Line In) so that I could independently select and control the volume (and eq) of separate speaker pairs.

A: This receiver can switch between 5 different components. It cannot receive XM radio.
