A: Yes. Right now I am listening to CDs playing - using random (All) and repeat. Goes all day long with that setting, mixing between the various CDs and tracks.

A: you can't! your amp is the only volume.
Q: can you use headphones with this player? Do I purchase separately?
A: Yes, you can use headphones with this product but they are not included.
A: All you basically need is a power amplifier with speakers for your sound and just plug the two red and white RCA wired male plugs, that came with your CD player, to your amplifier's two red and white female jacks for your sound to be amplified. Then plug in the power cords of both units to your house 120V power receptacle and play. That's all that there is to it.
A: It plays CDs, but not DVDs.
