Better quality than most.

I've worn out three previous players and find that CD players are becoming more difficult to find, especially any that will last more than a few months or a year. I tried players at nearly half the price of this one and had to return two of them same day because they wouldn't play at all. Decided to buy this one and the better quality was evident even before I played it. One feature I especially like is that it starts playing where I left off, which is especially helpful with CD books.

Quality of sound much better than others I've had.

I just wish the controls on the side were raised a little instead of being flush with the player. But sound quality makes it worth buying.

A problem solver for 'mobile' music

I coupled it with a mini-amplifier speaker from RS. Now, I can hear my music without (or with) headphones or having to spend $750 to replace my truck's older radio. The Walkman sits securely on the seat and plays well over good roads and a few not-so good. I'd buy another but, I don't expect to need to anytime soon.

Posted by: lray615 from Gainesville, FL on 03/17/2013The batteries are so close to the cover hinge that there is not enough room for a finger to get into position to compress the spring when replacing the battery closest to the edge. I put a piece of dental floss under the end of the battery closest to the hinge to maker removal easier. A ribbon permanently attched would be an improvement..
