South Park: Bigger Longer Uncut

Had to get the movie for my collection that’s basically it, DVD came in good condition.

Ok, maybe not exactly...It is, however, an absolute masterpiece in it's own right. The television show set the bar for parodies with it's biting, if not controversial, social commentary. It also drastically changed the landscape, and pushed the boundaries of adult-themed animation on television. Then the creators decided to cap off the 90s with their genre-defining full-length feature film which earned every bit of its hard 'R' rating. At the time of its release it even set a Guinness World Record for the most F-Bombs dropped in a movie! The series as a whole and the film itself helped set the tone for the new millennium and played a major role in changing the scope of TV for the better. Perhaps the craziest fact of all is that even now, in 2019, the series is still going strong and continues to push the boundaries of cable television. Amazing series and film created by two of the greatest minds in all of comedy. Heck, even their video games are masterpieces! Trey Parker and Matt Stone truly can do no wrong!

This movie is one of the best things to come out of South Park in it's entire 26 year run! While it's probably tame compared to later content, in 1999 this movie really pushed the envelope. I laugh every time I rewatch this film, and it's themes of scapegoating and censorship are still very much relevant to today's world! All in all a timeless comedy.

I’m a huge South Park fan & I love the movie I saw this in theaters back when it first came out & it’s still great. They’ve done a good job with making the picture better with it being on Blu-ray.

Truth is truth. Being able to take that truth and make it funny and eye opening at the same time is talent! If you're a South Park fan, this delivers on everything you love! I wish they'd make more! If you're sensible and easily offended, this is NOT for you! Though it brings out the irony in our culture in many ways (e.g. cussing seems to be worse than blood and guts unless it's real), it can get lost in people who refuse to listen rather than see. Trey and Matt use this concept over and over in this movie, and even flip it around to make their point more apparent. This movie is a classic! It's funny, ridiculous, insulting, offensive, and somehow still extremely thoughtful and telling. It's almost as if they predicted our demise into the extremely polarized world we live where death is an acceptable punishment for what we say. This isn't my only copy of this movie. It's just the best quality copy I have. I'll pass the DVD on to someone who is in need of enlightenment.
