Posted by: mfdphoto from North Carolina on 05/20/2013This item seemed good in the store, but when I got it home and played with it I realized that the trigger ball head that it comes with is really not that stable. After playing with it for just a few minutes I was too nervous to put my very expensive camera on it. I was not convinced the trigger head was safe. The legs of the tripod were sturdy, though. No issues with the legs.
I don't normally use a tripod in my work, but have recently started doing some things where a tripod would be helpful. So I figured I would pick up an inexpensive tripod for those occasions when I need one. I ended up returning this tripod and buying a more expensive head and legs set that I am much more comfortable with.

Posted by: GreenDragon813 from Washington, DC & Tampa FL on 05/17/2013The Tri-pod works great and the durability is great. For DSL's and video cameras, in door as well as out doors. It has great height as well when extended.

Posted by: moudry from LA on 05/10/2013this tripod is great, so light and great looking. I take it with me all the time since the weight is not an issue at all. The only disadvantage of it is the price, yet, in a way it should since it's carbon fabric.

Great for the money

Posted by: DerekJS from Los Angeles on 05/10/2013The only thing I would change on this design is to beef it up so that you could put a little more weight on the head. Otherwise, no changes needed - it is what it is, a tripod.

Posted by: Rich2003 from Gloucester VA on 04/20/2013Was looking for tripod that was light and easy to use. Great tripod, folds up easy and comes with a bag. very sturdy and holds the weight of my Nikon D300s with my biggest lens 2.8 70-200mm lens. Legs extend and lock easy. very light tripod!

Great all around tripod.

Posted by: Tubey from Apple Valley, MN on 03/29/2013Although I've only used the tripod twice since purchasing it, my experience been very favorable. It's light in weight, the camera securely fits and yet it can easily be removed from the tripod. I particularly like the pistol grip feature for quickly leveling out the camera rather than adjusting the legs to accomplish the same thing for a shot. All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase!

Stand - good; Head - not so good.

Posted by: iamshortie from Fort Wayne, IN on 07/25/2012I really liked the stand, but the head did not serve my needs. I use a Nikon D3100 with a 55-300 zoom lens. I wanted to use it to zoom in on the birds in my back yard and every time I would lock the head into position it always dropped lower than where I locked it. When I rotated the camera vertically, It could not support the camera and lens set-up at all. I returned the stand and ordered, from Best Buy's website, the Polaroid ProCarbon Fiber 65" stand which includes a removable ball head (model PLTRIC). This head holds the position much better and the ball is twice as large.
