Must-watch if you're a film of Malick's work. Recommended!
This review is from The Tree of Life [Blu-ray] [2011]

This is the kind of movie that you view at certain ages of your life. You should write down or mentally record what you feel. On subsequent viewings of a later age, do the same. The meaning of the movie will gain more nuance if not deeper meaning if the viewer picks up life experiences as that viewer re-watches the film. If you are wont to just see a movie once, then perhaps the cinematography would be an aspect I would point out as a teaching tool. It is perhaps, reference quality. For those aspiring to break in the movie industry and just to pick up tips on photography, the shots of this film would surely reach the most critical and hardened viewer. I would love to have this film be Criterion produced. Unfortunately, the packaging of this movie feels off. Too bright and too cloying. The physical presentation does not do the movie justice. Another great offering by the wonderful director Terrence Malick.

One of the most beautiful films ever made. You have to be ok with a plot that only shows you small pieces as it moves along, but i promise you that it will be gorgeous every step of the way.
