Did Exactly What I Needed It To Do - Once!
This did exactly what I needed it to do - once. My laptop OS picked up a virus from a Google Chrome extension, requiring me to upload data to my drop box account so that I could restore the hard drive to original factory condition (thank you very much HP and your so - called "recovery sector". The hard drive fit perfectly into the docking station and uploaded all necessary data, but the docking station has a small plastic door to hold the hard drive steady and in place. However, the "door" is held in place by two plastic "pins" which are not visible from the top of the station, so when I went to remove the drive from the docking station, the door caught a label on the hard drive an broke one of the pins, making the docking station completely useless for any future use. It's now trash. In all fairness to Thermaltake, I suspect that all docking stations are similarly designed, but I would have liked to use the station in my backup schemes, but that isn't going to happen now. For any future customers thinking of buying and using ANY kind of docking station, be EXTRAORDINARILY careful when inserting and extracting the drive so that the same thing doesn't happen to you. Other than this incident, the purchase worked flawlessly and fast (USB 2.0 fast) and fit my HP's hard drive perfectly.

Inexpensive, easy and quick solution for swapping
This was a very inexpensive easy to use docking solution for my extra/spare SATA drives. I initially purchased it to make an easy transition from the old drive to the new one when I upgraded my desktop PC HD. I quickly found that I could also use it to quickly access a few other spare drives as well. However, I returned it when I realized that this was not USB 3.0 compatible. Not a huge issue per-say, however USB 3.0 provides for a significant increase in speed of data exchange which is important when cloning a Drive. It can mean the difference between a task taking 4 hours to complete versus about 60-90 mins by using USB 3.0. Overall, great solution. Would be better of it had USB 3.0.

Inexpensive alternative to Harddrive Recovery
After taking the first of 2 PC computers to crash to Geek Squad, they recommended taking out the HD of the tower placing it in this dock and connecting it to any other computer, allowing me to use my own External hard drives to backup the files and programs, keep the HD in case I need anything else in the future, and it saved a HUGE amount, not to mention works LIKE A CHAMP!
