Good IPS panel for the price.
I was looking for a decent IPS panel for $200 and came across this model on Viewsonic's site. It was a bit hard to locate retailers that sell this model, but saw that Best Buy had it and would ship it for free. Out of the box, the panel is quite bright, but it is good for a well lit room. The whites were a bit washed out but I turned down the contrast to 50 and calibrated the display with the built in software on my Mac Mini and it looks much better now. The colors are good right of the box, just the contrast and gamma are a bit off as shipped. The Stand is not adjustable but that isn't a problem for my use, but may be for others. All in all, a nice IPS panel for about $200...you could only dream about having a 23 inch IPS panel for this price just 2 years ago. Haven't found any dead pixels or noticed any backlight bleed through / hotspots.

Great Monitor at a good Price point
View Sonic has always made a great monitor. Used their monitors for years. Although my two previous ones were not from View Sonic. Decided to upgrade previous monitor. Looked at a number of manufactures models, Lenovo, HP, etc. and choose View Sonic. Sharpe image, very good color reproduction, good price point. Very easy to install. No issues so far. Recommend highly.

Superb sharpness and color
Without using the included CD I just hooked it up and viola!, amazing picture quality. I still haven't run the CD, everything just works. The downside is no USB connection and the controls are literally out of sight under and behind the bottom of the screen, so unless you raise the monitor above desk level, you will have to duck down to turn it on and off and also to use the controls such as brightness, contrast, etc. The fact that they are touch controls means you can't just feel for them. Even so, the quality of the screen picture at an excellent price makes it a winner.
