The Cigar Oasis Plus Refill Cartridge fits both the Cigar Oasis Plus and Cigar Oasis XL Plus units. Each cartridge contains a foam core element combined with distilled water and an antifungal agent for optimal cigar preservation. This cartridge attaches directly to the electronic Oasis control unit. The fan in the electronic control unit extracts air from inside the humidor and directs it through the cartridge which "charges" the air with moisture. The Cigar Oasis unit then emits the humidified air into the humidor and is then absorbed by the cigars. The rate in which water is consumed will depend on the size of the humidor, how tight the humidor's seal is, and how dry your cigars are. Cigar Oasis Plus cartridges are suitable for longer lasting operation and should last for 2-3 years. After 2-3 years of refilling the internal foam will break down and cartridge must be replaced.
