I got this player recently, but I have been using it very actively for about a week. This is a great MP3 player for people who spend portion of their daily time exercising and just need to have some music on the background. Compact size player with a clip. loud enough to suppress background noises and still provide good sound quality. Despite it's small screen size reading player's menu or going through a play list doesn't represent a challenge, text is easily readable. Player menu is intuitive and very easy to use. Also it is very easy to upload music .Battery is very good. I would definitely recommend this player for people who are looking for a compact MP3 player that can be carried under the cloth or on a waist and wouldn't cause any inconvenience during exercise as other, bigger size players.

Battery life on my iRiver H10 HDD based player was causing me some issues so started to look for a new player a few weeks ago. I'm not a fan of iPods and was looking for a solid, high quality audio player. The Sansa clip was, surprisingly, highly regarded in several of the audiophile and ABA forums so thought I would give it a try. At the price point, if it didn't work out I'd have a cute memory stick with a radio.
Set up was easy - connected it to my laptop and it was recognized as an external drive. Simply drag and drop music files to the device and they appear in the one line menu as artists. Add a micro SD card and it is automatically recognized by the device providing secondary storage up to 16 GB. Have more than 16 GB of music? Get more SD cards.
The device offers 10 preset sound equalization settings and a custom setting allowing adjustment of 5 frequencies. Sound quality for a device this inexpensive is, quite frankly, amazing. My H10 provides more customization of sound however sonically I cannot easily detect a significant difference between the two.
The supplied ear buds are, well, what you'd expect in a $40.00 player. I own several headsets - IE Audio Teknika and Shure SE-215 and OE Bose QC 15. To drive the Bose effectively, the device's volume needs to be set fairly high. Combine this player with the Shure 215s and you have a real winning combination in a very compact package. A very rich, full sound.
I can't really comment on battery life. I charged the device, loaded up some music, used the player on 3 cross country round trip flights - maybe 15 hours total play time - and the battery is showing 2/3 full. The iRiver when it was new wouldn't last more than 8-10 hrs.
Bottom line - I'm pretty impressed. Small, decent battery life, impressive sound, decent storage by adding a micro SD card in an inexpensive package and not Apple. You can't beat that.

Compact, nearly postage-stamp sized MP3 player is easy to program, has responsive controls, great sound quality (with good earphones) and the clip on feature helps me move it around during different workouts. Great little screen tells you all you need. FM radio reception can be disappointing, but rarely use it.. Because of its size, it is easily 'lost' in the bottom of a gym bag or zip pocket.

I like to listen to music while washing my car or running. This MP3 player is small and packs great sound for my purpose. It holds a ton of songs, I have at least 100 on it and I'm sure it holds way more than that! It is easy to use and the clip is perfect to keep it out of the way. The battery life is awesome. I can let it sit for weeks and it still holds battery life. Love it

Took a while to figure out how to download the music from my computer. You have to use the Rhapsody program to make it work. Not my first choice but in the end it worked out fine. Nice little MP3, perfect for workouts. Good sound quality, easy to use and very lightweight.

This is the 3rd one I have purchased. I have given them as gifts to my friends that needed an easy MP3 and this is super easy! Just click and drag to add what ever you need. Sound is good, and I enjoy the FM radio feature! Great and easy for all computers...Don't need to be "fruit" friendly for this MP3!
A:AnswerYes you can put Audio books on your Sansa. I've been doing it for over a year now. It's really easy, I download from the library website on to my computer. Then upload on to the Sansa thru Windows Media player. Super easy.
A:AnswerIf your music is on your computer in the Itunes program open your windows media player (WMP) and click the add to library option to share all your music from Itunes with the WMP. Once the music shows in the WMP library you can connect your Sansa using the cable provided. Go to the Sync tab in WMP and drag and drop the music into the sync list to the left and start sync.
A:AnswerHi. Connect your Sansa with the cable provided. Using windows media player on the sync tab drag and drop the music or even audio books then click start sync. Super easy.
A:AnswerSound is excellent, I returned a $180 iPod Nano Touch and got this player. The player itself, and the headphones it comes with blow away the Nano. Really can't believe how good this sounds. You will NOT be disappointed.
