  • Key Specs
    • Amplifier Class: D (An amplifier's mode of operation, specifically the conditions in which its electrical current flows for the duration of an audio signal, determines its class. Each class has its strengths and weaknesses when it comes to power efficiency, levels of crossover distortion, and overall sound quality.)
    • Number Of Channels: 4
    • Bass Boost: Variable (Circuitry that boosts the bass response of the amplifier, improving audio reproduction enhancing the sound of low frequencies. Fixed boost means the level of bass response is preset, whereas variable boost allows the user to make adjustments.)
    • Bridgeable: true (Bridging an amplifier increases the power it supplies to the speaker(s).)
    • High-Pass Crossover: Variable (Devices with this function allow only audio frequencies above a chosen cut-off frequency to pass through to a speaker or sound system. A device may have a cut-off frequency predetermined by its manufacturer (fixed), multiple cut-off frequency options to choose from (selectable), or have the capability for the frequency to be configured by the user (variable).)

    • Number Of Channels: 4
    • Minimum Frequency Response: 5 hertz (Describes the maximum range of frequencies or musical tones a product can reproduce, from very low tones to very high treble tones. The minimum frequency or musical tone the speaker can reproduce. High treble tones have higher frequencies while low tones and deep bass have lower frequencies.)
    • Maximum Frequency Response: 100 kilohertz (Describes the maximum range of frequencies or musical tones a product can reproduce, from very low tones to very high treble tones. The maximum frequency or musical tone the speaker can reproduce. High treble tones have higher frequencies while low tones and deep bass have lower frequencies.)
    • Total Harmonic Distortion: 0.05 percent (Measurement of the harmonic sound distortion. The lower the percentage, the cleaner the sound.)
    • Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR): 122 decibels (The ratio of the desired signal's strength to the level of background noise. A ratio higher than 1:1, which equates to greater than 0 decibels, indicates more signal than noise.)

Meet the New Amp Benchmark
The new Alpine PDX Series amplifiers are completely re-engineered for performance, sound quality, and reliability. The PDX series are for the true car audio enthusiast, all from a compact size. Consider the bar raised.

Q: Is this a bass amp?

A: This is a four channel speaker app, you could dial this thing down to two channels to push two separate subs, but you'd only get 300 watts per channel. It's best to purchase the mono block if you are pushing subs. I have this amp, and it makes my type r components and 6x9's roar! Check out the 1.2KW PDX M12 for your monoblock. Mine pushes two type R 12"s beautifully.
