Q: Will this tv stand hold a 32" tv?
A: Oh yes, it will hold up to 60 inches but it has to be mounted attached to a wall. I had to take it back, the sales person said it did not have to be mounted to a wall. Would have been a great stand.
Q: does the unit have to mount to the wall
A: yes. I used hodkey pucks under the front of the unit for balance.
Q: What's the width between mounting holes in inches?
A: The mounting holes are adjustable to accommodate televisions 37 - 60 inches.
A: You do not need to provide a mount.
A: You would have to look for a white one, I have not seen one yet. It DOES NEED to be wall mounted!
Q: AltraMount TV Stand for flat panel tv's
A: No. 65" is too big.
Q: What brands, if any, will it not work for?
A: It comes with different size bolts for different tvs so it would not be an issue.
Q: Is the 49" height the top height for the tv?
A: No. That is the height of the unit. The mount has several hooks on the back for hanging you TV. Depends on where the mounting bracket attaches to the TV that determines how high or low you can mount it.
