I was using an Amazon Basics antenna with an amplifier that worked well except for a couple of channels. I bought this one because it's an updated version said to improve signal reception and stability. I put it in same location as previous antenna and rescanned. It pulled in more stations and all showed excellent reception. The two iffy channels are now solid. I am very happy with my purchase.

We live in an area that is very difficult to get good reception without a rooftop antenna. After reading a number of reviews I opted to try the Eclipse. It took a few tries in different locations but I ended up finding a spot in our living room that pulled in all of the channels. The color against our wall makes it blend in without issues. Highly recommended!

great antenna for the price

Got tired of the high cost of cable and watched very few of the channels available anyway. The HD antenna receives 27 channels and we don't miss cable at all!

Not 50 mile range
Posted by: Plquest from: on
The TV towers i was trying to reach are exactly 34 miles away from my house, and this antenna would not even pick up a faint signal. Even though I positioned it in several locations, including windows, it would only pick up stations approximately 15 to 20 miles away, at maximum. I returned it and purchased a Clearstream outdoor antenna instead.

Tried aiming it this way and that. Somebody walked past it and it went off. Not a great product.

Be aware that despite packaging claims, it will not pick up stations whose real RF frequency is in the VHF band (2-13), even with the amplifier installed. Consult a web site like antennaweb.org to see if a station important to you broadcasts on VHF. If no important station is on VHF, it is great. It picks up more UHF stations than the Mohu Leaf. If an important station is on VHF, forget about it and buy rabbit ears instead. Extend each ear horizontally to about 15" to tune the antenna to the middle of the VHF-Hi band.

Product works, but need line of sight
Posted by: skininja from: on
Works better than rabbit ears, which it replaces. I started getting channels I could not get before, due to the amplification. But based on my location, to really get these new channels well, need clearer reception/line of sight. This is an internal antenna, and so I will need to get more creative in placement. But the sticky pad is great for adjusting placement.

After moving, it didn't work as well as at the previous house, with few channels and some pixelation, so I bought another unit from another vendor for about twice the price, but it worked even worse, so I sent it back. I placed this one in the attic, and now I get plenty of pixelation-free channels.

A warning for users with VHF channels
Posted by: Benjamin727 from: on
If you are looking to cut the cord I strongly would recommend you first go to a site such as TV fool and researcher area. If you discover that you are in a situation like I am where four out of the five major networks are on VHF you need to select a different antenna. Although this antenna does an excellent job on UHF it failed to bring in any of my VHF stations. This is because although it is not advertised this Santana is specifically designed for UHF channels as that is the location in most areas where they have moved TV signals to.The Mohu Leaf 50 ended up pulling in all of them with no issue.
The bottom line if you have done your homework and find that your stations are all on UHF I can very much recommend the Santana but if you discover that you have VHF stations this is an antenna to steer clear of.

Power with ease

We live in a valley and the small antennas we tried were inadequate. I was afraid that the solution would be expensive, but I gave the ClearStream product a try. It is excellent and gave us access to some channels we were unaware of. We now have two, one in our attic and the other on the wall above our second TV.
