Q: will this work in a valley .i get only 1 good clear station
A: I don't quite live in a valley but this antenna can pull signal from over hills almost 40 miles away from me. It is really tough to say though your best bet is to go to www.tvfool.com and look and see what is available in your area. I have read reviews of people in Worcester MA which is in a valley and they are able to pull signals from Boston, but that can depend on so many factors your best bet is really to go to that website. It will tell you what class of antenna you need to pull in certain stations (eg what you can pick up with just rabbit ears, and what you can pick up with an antenna like this)
Q: Signal Booster for Splitter
A: I understand you lose about 1 dB of signal for about every 17 ft or so. But I found this thing pulled in such a strong signal that you might want to try it out without and see how it does with just the splitter. That being said, I used existing house coax for mine so I lost a couple of channels unboosted. I used a radio shack ANTENNA-MOUNTED HIGH-GAIN SIGNAL AMPLIFIER (model 1500526) and that did the trick. It allows for boost intensity adjustment and will split the signal on the unit itself. You need to careful about overboosting because you can lose good channels that already have high signal strength. For me I had to just barely crack the dial on the adjustment knob to make the alternate TV in our bedroom pick up all the same channels as our living room TV, and was over about an 90-100 ft run from the living room TV. A: No don't need cable services . also channels depend where your located and what direction atenna is facing and what's around your area I got at least 100 channels

Q: Would this work in an attic 70 miles from signal?
A: This is super easy to install. There is only one coaxial cable that attaches directly to back of the TV or to your set-top/cable box and an electrical plug. Then you just need to pull up the two antenna rods and rotate them and/or the unit itself until you get maximum effect. This is really a no-brainer. Take it from a 70 year old non-techie who managed it!
