Grandkids Loves It and So Do I Posted by: from: on The kids & I love the iPad Pro 12.9. Great size for watching movies, playing games, drawing, surfing the web, etc. Screen is just as big as a Macbook Pro. I am upgrading from iPad2 mini and also looked at the 9.7 which felt a little too small. If you are getting older such as myself I would definitely recommend this to people who have trouble adjusting to smaller screens. Grandkids are much younger than me and they love the size. The sound is amazing with the 4 speakers and the base is awesome. What was also great is that I got it on sale so I basically got the pen for free. Watch for sales.

Yes just an iPad with iOS Posted by: from: NJ on This review is to help people uninformed about this product. Its still an iPad with iOS, it will not replace your MacBook pro or any desktop/laptop for that matter. If you have/had an iPad or iPhone same thing folks. What defines for me a justified purchase is screen space and speed. Coming from an iPad Air 2 the choice I made was well worth it. I get more of the same experience with the ability to have more space to enjoy the iPad experience. I personally use it for gaming and web browsing mostly. Would the iPad Air 2 or any other idevice work, YES. In summary if you want a bigger screen, better performance and larger sound this is great. If you are expecting it to replace a desktop/laptop you will be disappointed. Hope this helps someone make a decision!

My Bad Posted by: from: on This isn't a review of the tech. It's an iPad. It is a review of my user experience. For the way I use it (email, web, Facebook, Pinterest) it's too dafb big. I use it in my lap in a recliner and it is very hard to hold and navigate with bigger is not better in this case. The extra real estate causes problems too. Sometime apps get confused and hang with the display either too big or too little. Other apps try to leverage the extra real estate and that's not always a good thing. Words with friends uses that space to run non stop distracting videos. I can't use this ipad to play anymore because it's distracing. I end up playing on my phone. I am sure it's a wonderful piece of equipment for more sophisticated end users. It's just not to my liking and I wish I had purchased a smaller ipad. It IS nice for you tube and Netflix, HBO go. So I have expanded how I use it by enjoying those apps more than ever before, so that's a plus. Anyway, it's not the iPad, it's me. I recommend playing with one before buying.

Got the iPad Pro and returned the SurfaceBook Posted by: from: on I wanted to love the SurfaceBook. I liked it so much I sold my Surface Pro 3 and 12" MacBook. However after 2 weeks the bugs and constant freezing and reports of docking issues on the net made me question the longevity of the Surface Book. The Surface book did sell me on using a larger tablet, so I went with a iPad Pro and a Dell XPS 15 w/ Infinity display. I found myself using the SurfaceBook in Clipboard mode for just surfing and YouTube, the only issue is it lasted just 2.5 hrs off the base. The iPad Pro gets really close to the 10 hrs for those tasks. No, it can't replace your laptop, but it does so many things right.

Great Purchase Posted by: from: on I have owned my iPad Pro since the day it came out, and I have loved every minute of it. I owned several earlier versions of iPads, but I always felt that I needed a bigger screen. Here it was. I travel a lot on business and I don't own a laptop. This iPad has been able to fulfill all my needs on the go and at home. I love it so much and highly recommend it for anyone that needs a bigger screen and laptop replacement.

Size does matter... Posted by: from: on In this case, it's too big. I guess I was just going for the most screen real estate. Overall, seems like it's good. As for cameras on it I have no need for cameras on a tablet. I got it for work-related use. It does everything I could imagine it should. I was fairly disappointed to find out that there are apps that are not built for iPads and are displayed in a much smaller window and not scaled at all. Unfortunately I do feel my next purchase in this category would probably be a Microsoft Surface, or something else comparable. For some the iPad would be perfect especially if you are an iPhone user. However the cost of accessories is absolutely ridiculous and through the roof. The 'Pencil' is something that I will have to save money to get if I want it. Performance, flawless so far. Price is where I took a single star away. Apple products are very pricey and in my opinion probably should be sold at about 20% less than where they are currently on. The cost of the name shouldn't be that much of a mark up.

Only one day of use, but spectacular so far Posted by: from: on I have most likely purchased each new apple product since the original iPhone. I cannot express how fast this Pro is. It is faster than my computer. Unfortunately, the pencil and the apple keyboard were not in stock so I bought the Logitech Keyboard instead. If you are looking for aesthetics, the red/gold keyboard combo is absolutely beautiful. I got that for my son and didn't want the same exact color combo so opted for the black/grey and space gray Pro for myself. I mean OMG it is so fast. I haven't figure out all the bells and whistles yet but the keyboard worked seamlessly and the Pro may very well become that laptop replacement I was hoping for. In the store, I was able to watch the Apple specialist drag a video into one corner while still being able to type in another. I can't wait to continue to enjoy this amazing new product. The Apple Pencil is similarly amazing (just not yet available to buy in the store :( )

Too Big Posted by: from: on It is a great device. Use for media consumption or work. But, similar to other reports, it is just too big. Add a keyboard and case to this, then you might as well buy a laptop or Surface Pro 4. I returned and bought the 9.7 in version. But now there is report of 10in version next year!! That would be perfect. But if I keep waiting, I'll never buy anything....

Can't go back Posted by: from: on I was skeptical of the iPad Pro, but after having one for a few weeks now I can say I love it and this is how the iPad was always supposed to be. I simply cannot go back to using my IPad Air. The extra screen real estate is great because websites now show up in their desktop form, and multi-tasking is awesome since it's basically two iPad Air screens side-by-side. The screen quality is absolutely amazing. I paired this with the smart keyboard and it fulfills my laptop needs. Yes you can do more with a laptop, but the majority of my use cases are touch-screen. Highly recommend. I feel the price is justified for what you are getting -- a great piece of technology.

IPad Pro Early Adopter Posted by: from: on Being an avid iPad fan, I ordered the iPad Pro when it was release and it didn't disappoint. While I am still adjusting to it, the very first thing I noticed and was happy to see was the keyboard layout. You don't have to hit a key to get the numbers to show up. The number appear on the same keyboard screen as the alpha characters. I have not decided on the Apple Penscil yet as I did just fine without one in the past.
