Excellent clarity and responsiveness! Posted by: from: on I was very hesitant to jump to the new Ipad Pro from my smaller v4. After reading through countless reviews and watching endless videos on it I was pretty much sold. It is very large which is either a pro/con depending on how you want to use it. I used mine with an attached keyboard case which worked flawless. I already have a 13 and 15 inch macbook but I wanted something I could travel around with light weight and EXCELLENT battery life. The other reason I chose to setup this way is when I am just relaxing doing my typical web browsing or reading I do not enjoy having the heat/weight of my laptop in my lap. Ok and I used it to pay "Clash of Clans" also...... Pros: - Great battery life - The display is amazing as on all apple displays! - Obviously its IOS so..... runs great and amazing resource of apps and - seamless integration with all my other devices (which is a lot) - Very portable for the size (I am used to lugging around my 13inch mb pro) so this has helped a lot for me when I have to go to my childrens Dr. Appts to throw on netflix or hulu (Does require a hotspot or tethering I did not get/need a data plan with mine) - The very cool keyboard cases that now apple offers but I bought mine prior to them releasing theirs. They are great for writing etc. Cons: - Not for me but perhaps others the size if your looking for something really mobile and not used to lugging around this it can become a burden (although its very light) - It does not charge very quickly when plugged into another device. I typically use an outlet when charging but as I said above the battery life is pretty amazing

Great tablet if a little pricey. Posted by: from: on The iPad pro is expensive. Lets get that out of the way right now. The Apple Pencil is also pricey. But this is hands down the best tablet I've ever used. At first it was difficult to reconcile the size. This thing is MASSIVE. At 13 inches it's the size of a laptop screen. However, after using it for a month, it seems normal. In fact, my wife's iPad Air looks like a Mini, and a Mini looks like a phone. Tons of power, a beautiful screen, and the multitasking is fantastic. If you're an iPad user and you want to squeeze some more productivity out of your tablet, go Pro.

Superior product for my needs Posted by: from: on I acquired an iPad Mini in 2014; six months later I moved up to the iPad Air; six weeks ago I purchased the ipad Pro 12.9. Each time the move was prompted by need for a larger screen display. I use the iPad Pro to read music scores while performing. While the Air provided a satisfactory image, the Pro is easier to read and causes less eye strain. I am also using the Pro to stream videos as the retina display and the incredible speakers provide a better experience than watching on my 32 inch television. I continue to use the Air for everything else (email, calendar, contacts, notes) because the Pro is too large to carry around comfortably. I realize many people do these things on their phones, but I am not comfortable with that small size. I think Apple is off base promoting the Pro as a laptop replacement, but I think it excellent for the right uses. I am very happy with my purchase. The sale price at Best Buy was a major incentive to purchase.

Excellent Device, NOT a Laptop Replacement Posted by: from: on Whenever the next big Apple device comes out I consistently attempt to scrounge up the money to invest in what I believe are truly innovative and beautiful products. Seeing how it was about time for me to get a new laptop I decided to put some trust in Tim Rice and purchase this amazing piece of equipment mainly to get a touch screen/ laptop combo in my hands. Unfortunately, the IOS that runs on apple mobile devices is simply not up to par with their OS on standard computers, it simply cannot match up. If you want an ENORMOUS ipad then this is certainly for you, it is a wonderful device and runs at astounding speeds. Just don't buy this thinking you're getting a deal on a Macbook Pro- type device.

Best Ipad to date Posted by: from: on I have owned every IPad that Apple has ever produced and of course this is best one to date as it should be its there newest lol... I purchased this tablet not as a laptop replacement but just simply as an IPad upgrade. So if you are trying to buy this as a laptop replacement then you need to buy the Microsoft Surface Pro 4. I have been using this tablet now for a few days and I must say that I'm very pleased, with the battery life, the huge screen and most of all the potential that this tablet has. Unfortunately Best Buy didn't have the Apple pencil in stock as of yet so I can't speak on that but I'm sure that will be be a definite accessory to give this tablet more functionality. I recommend this tablet for people who love iOS tablets, artist, techies, designers, college students, and everyday people who have extra cash and simply wants a bigger screen, faster operating system and wants to tap into there creative side then this is for you.

Great device, best iPad I've ever owned Posted by: from: Buffalo, NY on Although my local Bestbuy was soldout and I purchased the item and logitech keyboard at Apple, I do 90% of my Apple shopping at Bestbuy and there reviews are the reason I purchased. I went with the 32GB because I also own a Early 2015 Macbook Pro Retina. I share the tablet and computer with my girlfriend, so it works great as I'm currently in my last semester in college and on days I take the Laptop she uses this and on the days I take this to school I can tell you its very close to being a laptop replacement. Although I was upset I wasn't able to get the Apple Pencil as it's sold out everywhere, I did get the Logitech keyboard over the Apple one due to the backlighting. It definitely comes close to duplicating my $1,300 Macbook Pro for a little over half the price. The Logitech keyboard does a great job being a macbook type imitation keyboard and the screen quality and performance are amazing. There is simply no lag and the new multitasking is amazing. I can definitely see myself getting full use of this product, especially since I am getting a little more than 10 hours of battery life per charge.

Buyer Beware Posted by: from: Erlanger, KY on I really like this tablet, but I preface with buyer beware because of the inclusion of the word "Pro." They also claim on the website that multitasking apps is a snap, when in fact it's so limited that it's barely useful. Why would I be browsing the Internet and want to split screen Find My iPhone or World Clock? There are a few useful inclusions such as Calendar, Email and FaceTime, but that's not the impression of every single app like we were given. As for being just a tablet, it's great. The size is wonderful with plenty of speed and power with a beautiful screen to boot, along with every app under the sun. I highly recommend this for the casual user, but if you're looking to replace a laptop, go with the Surface Pro.

Overall, very good! Posted by: from: on It runs fast, no hiccups as of yet, and does what I need it to do. The screen is great. The speakers are very good for a thin tablet, but the sound is not as good as it's hyped up to be, in my opinion. Charging seems to be slow but the majority of the time I charge it is over night anyway. Apple has now come out with a faster charger and cable as an extra purchase. My advice is, if you charge as I do, overnight, don't bother. Although the new charger and cable should have been included with the tablet in the first place! Also, now that the 9.7 iPad Pro was just released, some of the features on that should have been on this too like larger cameras (no, I don't take pics with it, but still...) and always on Hey, Siri (I would think they could still update the larger Pro's to allow this). I purchased this as a companion device with a larger screen (for text books, sketching, and overall greater viewing area over smaller tablets) and not as a "laptop replacement". I did not purchase the keyboard for it because I still prefer to do any lengthy amount of work on my 15" laptop with a full sturdy keyboard, not just on this tablet but any tablet/hybrid device. The on screen keyboard is fine for the little typing I do on it. The pencil stylus (optional purchase and expensive) works very well with it.

Couldn't replace my laptop, but excellent tablet Posted by: from: on My portable gear includes the iPad Pro, iPad Air, and a Yoga 2 Pro. I love the big screen of the Pro and can't wait for my Pencil to arrive. It can get a little heavy if all you need to do is read e-mails or news-feeds, but luckily for me, the Air handles that nicely. The screen is great, however, I wasn't "wowed" at first because it feels like the home screens aren't taking advantage of the Pro's size. It seems there are the same amount of apps per page as on my Air, but they are just spread out on the Pro. The speakers are great, and the sound seems to improve when you have it in a case (I use the DodoCase and the Origami). I don't see how this can replace my Yoga for the "heavy lifting" type tasks (meaning photo editing and extended writing for me), since apps do not feel like full-fledged programs. I am not interested in the keyboard for this, but I do plan to do a good amount of photo editing with the Pencil. For now, I mainly use the Pro to read things like sheet music or recipes, where I can't hold the tablet or I am at a greater distance than arm's length. I don't play games, but I do watch a lot of videos and read, so I get a lot of use out of the Pro and its bigger size. I never expected it to replace my laptop, but I am still impressed for what it can do.
