The best iPad available as of now Posted by: from: on I recently upgraded to the 9.7" Pro from the Air 2 and it is a very small yet decent upgrade. Honestly, the speed difference isn't really that great. The difference in speaker quality is quite phenomenal though. I tried the true tone screen for a while but found it be too erratic and hurtful to overall color accuracy (it's good for reading books and whatnot, but never use it for movies). The camera is better of course but it adds the annoying bump in the back from the iPhone 6/6S. I never really use it so it was more of a hinderance to me. Overall, a solid iPad and the best to date. If you already have an Air 2 however, I'd probably recommend holding out until the next revision. Simply not enough of a difference to justify it yet.

Replaced my Computer Posted by: from: on It's incredible how many things iPad Pro can accomplish. And it does in a few taps what takes my computer much more time to complete. The multitasking and split screen make it incredibly easy to have two apps running at once. Apps like Micrsosoft Office, which is free on iPad btw, and even pro apps like AutoCAD. With the Pencil and Smart Keyboard I can easily take notes and even draw or color with incredible accuracy. I was pretty impressed with the Surface pen, but This Apple Pencil blows away all of the competition. Easily scan, sign documents and send it in an email without ever printing anything out. One of the best purchases I have ever made.

Semi pro with out the pencil or keyboard Posted by: from: Illinois on This is by far the best iPad yet. The display Is fantastic the speakers will surprise you, and when matched with the pencil it's an artist's new best friend....but ....all is not perfect.. The pencil Is needed to unlock the full potential of the iPad pro. And it's an extra hundred bucks. Apple is boasting this as a laptop replacement, at least Microsoft bundles the excellent surface pen with the surface line. The Pencil should be included with the iPad pro period. But this is Apple money must be made. Also as wonderful as the iPad pro is it is not an laptop replacement. iOS has come a long way but it can't replace OSX or Windows, the need for a file menus and no USB is a deal breaker for a laptop. I'm an artist and a photographer. I use the pro to assist in the photography workflow with Lightroom mobile and it excels in this. Overall I'm very happy with the iPad pro but wish the pencil was included.. Especially with the premium you pay for the Pro Name... I'd say right now it's semipro bundle the pencil then you can call it Pro.

Good (Almost Great) Laptop Replacement Posted by: from: on I bought this iPad for myself to replace a larger MacBook Pro. For this purpose, it fulfills 80-90% of its goal. First, with the keyboard and pencil, it is basically a laptop replacement. I was able to write my thesis on the tablet and only had to go to the laptop for formatting adjustments. And the battery lasts forever. I can go a fulll day and still have 30%+ on my battery after using it all day long. Standalone (without network connectivity), I can do basic work such as document editing, email, etc. Also, I can do light software development work via Dringend and Continuous. When I'm connected, I can do anything as I would on a laptop since I can just connect to a computer remotely. Where it breaks down is really the fault of the software, not the tablet itself. The software versions of most of my programs aren't as feature full as the desktop versions. For example, Word doesn't have paragraph spacing on the iPad. These are minor, but frustrating when necessary. If you know that the software you use is good enough, then it will work. Otherwise, you might want to get a MacBook or some other small laptop that has the full functionality.

Great jump from IPad Air to the Pro Posted by: from: Metairie, La. on I was a little hesitant at purchasing the new iPad Pro. However after having it for a week I feel I made the right decision. The four speakers produce phenomenal sound that blows away the iPad air. The screen is beautiful. And I have definitely noticed an increase in browsing speed compared to my iPad air. I actually placed them next week shoulder and browsed certain websites and you could really see the speed and difference.

Great buy Posted by: from: on I did my research to figure out which iPad would work best for me-I'm glad I got the iPad Pro. I love the ease of using the apple keyboard along with it as well as the great sound, clear images and improved camera. I was using an iPad mini original version which had just gotten too slow after all the updates so in comparison, this one is great! I use my iPad for reading a lot so I worried that the pro would be too big. It's probably the biggest size I can comfortably read on. Perhaps if I only wanted a reader, the mini is a better choice but this does it all-almost replaces my laptop while still ultra portable and readable.

Best iPad so far Posted by: from: on I have had the iPad 1, iPad 3, and iPad air. This iPad Pro 9.7 is the best that I have had. I really like the speed and that it has keyboard that it perfectly syncs up with (and no need for batteries). I have only had it a short time, but I am happy so far.

Excellent Upgrade Posted by: from: on The 9.7 inch iPad Pro is an excellent upgrade from a previous iPad. The screen is phenomenal. The new True Tone that adjusts the display to the environment makes the screen so much more pleasant to look at. It seems like it wouldn't make a big difference until you try it, but it really is terrific. The device is light, speedy and can handle anything I throw at it. If you absolutely must take photographs on your tablet, this is the one to use. The camera is excellent. The speakers are also very good, and significantly upgraded from past iPads. They rival high end laptop speakers. I also obtained the smart keyboard and it is not bad at all for a smaller keyboard. Sure it is a compromise, but it works. I am not much of a pen and paper guy, so no Apple pen for me, but I hear that is terrific also. If you are looking to replace a laptop for day to day work, I still wouldn't recommend the Pro, but as a travel computer and consumption device it is second to none.

Excellent Choice For Tablet Posted by: from: Amarillo, TX on I've owned my iPad 3 since that model came out. Although I loved it, it finally just got too slow for all of the apps I run. As an IT professional, I decided on the 9.7 iPad Pro because of the processor. It's very fast and has no problem running all of the apps I use. It is a perfect compliment to my MacBook Pro and iPhone 6s.

Bought for the Pencil compatibility, love it Posted by: from: on I've always wanted a tablet that could accept handwritten notes, decent drawing with a stylus, let me do some basic graphic design whenever inspiration strikes, accommodate a keyboard, hold a lot of great music, a movie, some e-books, games, photos, be very portable, lightweight, easily synced and backed up. I had an iPad Mini 3 with a keyboard case, but something was missing - it just didn't have everything I wanted. Namely, a very accurate writing and drawing utensil. I kind of ignored the larger iPad Pro when it came out, as it was too large for me to carry around every day. If I wanted to do that much detailed drawing, I'd sit at a desktop. The 9.7 iPad Pro was a game changer - it had every single thing I wanted in a tablet. I will never, ever need another tablet again! Hehe... who am I kidding. I'll probably be first in line to get a 1 TB iPad Pro 6 in 2020 if they make one, but until then, I absolutely love this iPad Pro 9.7.
