Nice upgrade from before Posted by: from: on I purchased this iPad Air 2 as a replacement for my previous second generation iPad. My old iPad was beginning to work erratically. I use my iPad daily to check on news, emails and stream videos. After so many years of use I thought I needed to upgrade to a new iPad. The iPad Air 2 is much smaller and lighter than the previous iPad. That is good and bad as the new iPad is not as easy to hold while in use because of its thinness and sharper edges. The overall size of the case is smaller and the screen is closer to the edges and so your hand blocks the view of the screen partially. Viewing is best when the iPad is placed on a stand without having to place a hand on the case. Overall the iPad works well with improved speed and video quality. Seems to have longer battery life as well.

Damaged product Posted by: from: Boise idaho on I bought this iPad at the Nampa Best Buy store in Idaho and they sold me a damaged device it was bent & i contacted them the day I open the device & notice the dent/bent which was one day after I purchased the device and they refuse to either exchange the device or fix the dent for me. They sold me a damaged device & did not stand behind what they sold.

A worthy improvement to the Air Posted by: from: on I had an Air and the wife had an Air 2. I got too jealous every time I picked her's up to use it - I could immediately feel how her's was thinner and lighter, after getting used to the weight and thickness of an Air. I also noticed each time she would just press the Home button to get into her's, no swiping and tapping, no spelling out a password in the App Store. Her gold colored backing kept catching my eye, as well. Side-by-side, over time, it was hard to not upgrade until I finally gave in and I don't regret it! My one star drop is over iOS and not the iPad (no number row on the keyboard? The Share icon in Safari to save a bookmark? Needs better UX). The hardware itself is still the best tablet hardware I've used and king of the tablets.

Best iPad for price range Posted by: from: on As per me iPad main feature is size that is 9.7 inch. Mini is too small and iPad pro 12 inch is too big. Now provided the size range this is best iPad for this price range . Off course iPad pro is better but if you don't want to pay 400$ extra just for slightly improved chip set and screen quality ( which any how we will not notice ) , this is worth it. Pros: ( like all apple products ) -Good eco system -Light weight -Good camera and screen quality -Abundance of accessories in market Cons( again like any other apple product ) - difficult o move anything in or out the system , data copy , songs copy - Need iTunes for everything Having said that the iPad does all the purpose of a tablet and fills the gap of perfect tab .

Totally amazing! Posted by: from: US on I had the last version, which I returned when it had a problem with streaming YouTube videos and freezing up. I can tell a huge difference in response time between the Ipad Air and the Air 2. Also, the screen appears much crisper and sharper. The cases I'd previously purchased fit the Air 2 fine, which is an added benefit. I've never been a huge Apple fan even though I own a Macbook Air because Microsoft Word and Powerpoint are important to me and Apple doesn't play nicely with them, but when I started back to school and found that it's much cheaper to rent textbook than to purchase them, I opted for the ipad. I can now rent etextbooks from the Kindle store and download them to theKindle app or ibooks. It saves me a lot of money. If you have the Ipad Air and yours is working well, I can't justify running out and spending money on a new one just to get a sharper resolution and a faster response time. If you don't have one and have been considering one, you can't go wrong. I played around with the Kindle HDX and found the ipad Air far superior.

Replacing iPad 4th Gen - Major Upgrade Posted by: from: on Our iPad Air 2 replaced a quite sluggish iPad 4th Gen. Apps would freeze, close randomly, and slow down during the simplest of tasks. Not to mention it's pretty fat & heavy by today's standards. We picked up an Air 2 on sale and love it. It's very thin & light, not to mention speedy. Apps open quickly, with movement between open apps (even Netflix) breezy. Not to mention the gold color looks sharp and doesn't get too finger-printy.

Still learning about it. Posted by: from: on The iPad has come in handy for a lot of reasons. It has also helped me utilize my iPhone in more ways. The fact that I continue learning keeps me interested in using it.

Apple just keeps getting better.. Posted by: from: Hobart, IN on As a long-time Apple user I'm always amazed at the new innovations and improvements they premier with each new release of an already outstanding, and what I consider "Benchmark Quality" product they produce. Purchased this as a replacement for my 'old' first release iPad (which is still running strong). So I guess it really isn't a replacement but more so an upgrade for me as I like to keep up with new technology when I can afford to do so. So glad I decided to upgrade with this model.

Love the iPad Air! Posted by: from: on I switched from the mini to the iPad Air which was something that I was hesitant about. But this product is amazing! It has a larger screen but still lightweight and is carryable in my purse. Wish I would have switched over sooner.

The only tablet you need... Posted by: from: on Where to begin! I have been a long time Apple fan no doubt and had many different Gens, but the iPad Air 2 even though it has been out for a while is still top notch, I have one myself and recently bought another for my mom, if you have parents that are weary of technology, the simplicity and dependability of iPad is the place to start!
