Saved for so long Posted by: from: on Finally got my iPad Air 2!! I had originally wanted the 128gb but I decided I didn't need all that, so I got this one and am not disappointed. I use my iPad for leisure, work, school, and extracurricular studies. It holds charge for a long time and the display is just gorgeous and sharp, striking and clear, the touch feedback is quick and precise. The apps open quickly and response times while running many things is still swift. I really recommend this bad boy if you're on the fence about an upgrade. It's the best iPad on the market for the average joe right now.

YOUR PORT RICHEY STORE IS HORRIBLE. Posted by: from: on I went into the store today to purchase an iPad and Apple Pencil - both products that are new to me. The young woman who helped me seemed very confident and knowledgeable in her answers and swore the pencil was compatible with the iPad. I explained I was making the conversion over to Apple and writing on the tablet was a dire need of mine. Low and behold after I get home, get my info transferred to my iPad, and try to set up the pencil, ITS NOT COMPATIBLE with the Air 2! I was so frustrated I was in tears by the time I got back to the store, and honestly, your associates lackluster "Sorry, there's nothing we can do" statements were a joke. I have an account with you guys (and a credit card) but I am taking my business elsewhere.

Thin and Light! Display is pleasing to the eyes. Posted by: from: on Coming from an iPad mini (non-retina) made a huge difference. The iPad Air 2 is very thin and light, and the retina display is very pleasing to the eyes. I enjoy watching movies on it. It runs very fast too! While browsing in Safari, it loads pages very quickly. One thing I noticed though, while video conferencing (Skype), after about half an hour, the iPad Air 2 gets a little hot to touch on the right side (while holding it in portrait) where the processor is. I've read on some forums that this occurrence is pretty common probably due to the thinness of the tablet. I am not using any case right now, maybe that will help. However, after about an hour, it cooled down a little while still on video conferencing. I have not experienced any other issues other than this so far. I am loving my new iPad Air 2! The gold back is very nice.

Nice update from iPad 2 Posted by: from: on I bought this for my wife. She uses her iPad daily for websurfing, email, and seek and find games. When she started complaining about slow internet performance on her five-year-old iPad 2, I figured it was time for an upgrade. She is much happier now and, as the old saying goes, we are both happier. Websurfing, email, and games run much faster on this iteration than on the original models. Additionally, it is noticeably smaller and lighter. As such, the old iPad covers will not fit the Air versions. The battery life is sufficient for all day use. I hope this helps anyone considering purchasing this model.

Decreased size comes at a price.... Posted by: from: on First, the new Apple iPad Air 2 is definitely lighter and thinner than any of the previous models Apple has released. I have owned every version they have produced and you can definitely tell the new Wifi with 802.11ac support is quicker, as well as the processor of the new model is speedier than before. One could say you would expect all of the above with any new Apple product, but there is one thing you wouldn't expect that the iPad 2 has... Vibration when playing any type of sound! If you read online, this is something that is common on all of these. Seems the speaker vibrates a great deal when playing sound. The iPad vibrates in your hand while your trying to type on screen as the sound plays. It is not very becoming and though I get the thinness of the new iPad may be to blame, I would have thought Apple engineering would have figured out a solution before putting these out like this. Still on the fence if I can live with it, but I urge you to try one in the store with sound playing before making your decision. So close to perfection, but not quite.

A Surprisingly Flawed Product (Shake it Up) Posted by: from: Anaheim, CA on iPads are great. Revolutionary. Thinnovation. Copycats. Etc.Okay, I love iPads and this one is very nice. Now I'll jump right into the problems 1) Excessive Vibration - There is a gigantic design flaw in which playing audio through the speakers results in the entire chassis and screen vibrating. It results in the entire iPad shaking and the users fingers getting numb/tingly if holding the device for more than 10 minutes. Many have said that it is due to the thinner frame but it is more of a design flaw. And considering Apple usually nails hardware then it's absolutely shocking that something so obvious got through to the final product. 2) Battery Life - For the last several generations of iPads then my workflow would result in it taking 2-3 days before hitting "low battery". But with the Air 2 then I'm surprised to be at 25% by the end of the day. Its still a good battery but its about 2hrs short of previous models. I know my review is critical but that is because Apple is known for being the "luxury vehicle" of tech products. And that is why it is so surprising that Apple released a product with such glaring design faults. I still like my Air 2 but if I would declare a single iPad to be Apple's current best then it would be last years iPad Air.

An excellent device as expected Posted by: from: on Apple Ipad Air 2, 64 GB Wifi Model Great performance as always expected from an Apple product. The Ipad Air 2 is extremely thin and light weight and remains thin profiled even with a cover on. The display is bright and clear and easy on the eyes - something I see that the other non retina devices / cheaper Android devices lack. Great performance and speed, love the finger print reader. Overall a highly satisfying purchase - was a gift for my wife - she loves it

Should and could have done better Apple Posted by: from: St. Petersburg, Fl on First let me explain that I'm a long time user of Apple. I've had every single iPad starting with iPad 2. My home computer is a 27" iMac so I know about Apple products. I had to return my iPad Air 2 for the following reason. Please take a GOOD look at your Air 2. When holding my iPad Air 2 on the right side just below the volume buttons would be a black spot on the screen. Come to find out that Apple made the Air 2 to thin. Why do I say this. While I was at Best buy trying to exchange my Air 2. The manager grab two brand new iPad still in the box. Guess what we found, yes both had the same issue. We didn't stop their, next he want to the floor models to test those. Guess what happened, yep those also had the same problem. Manufacture defect was his exact words. Don't take my word for it look it up on YouTube and you will see for yourself. Such a shame because I really did like the Air 2.

Great for school and home...... Posted by: from: Hamburg, NY on Bought this for my 10 year old for her birthday, somewhat unknowingly it replaced and for the most part rendered her I-pods, kindle, and laptop does pretty much everything they do, if not better or more and she uses it alot more for her school work claiming it's more fun on the Air-pad2 ....Very easy to navigate and set up,tons of storage and even easier to monitor her use, without having to use multiple apps or some of the easy to get around parental controls on a couple of her other devices...Only regret was not getting the same pad with "phone" option...A little pricey, however you get what you pay for.....Anyone interested in buying a slightly used laptop, kindle fire hd or I-pod 4 & 5th generation???? jk....

Love the iPad Air 2 Posted by: from: Ocala, FL on Coming from Windows laptop. Things I like: Easy to learn interface, integration of apps, touch screen, display resolution, light weight, cool to the touch, OS stability (zero lockups so far), huge selection of free and low costs apps and gold color. Prior to purchase was concerned about font legibility (size) and considered iPad Pro, but the iPad readability is not a problem. Even with lots of usage, battery lasts me more than a day. Also made the plunge to an iPhone for home phone service. Big surprise one day, with both devices on home Wifi, can make and receive calls/messages from iPad even though this iPad does not have cellular, slick! Great camera. Things I don't like: Reviews which don't include some useful critical remarks, sorry. Do think about how much local storage you _really_ need. Since this device is tightly coupled to iCloud storage I probably did not need 64gb storage, in my case 16gb may have been adequate, but internal storage is not upgradeable.
