Q: does this modem work with comcast
A: Yes it works very well with Comcast however make sure they have the correct serial number and key also they may have a part that doesn't interfere with your devices that work on 5G
A: Yes it can. I bought it and make sure you call Comcast when installing it so they can send a signal to it. After that the rest is easy.
Q: HI: Unit compatible w/ Win 8.1?? Specs don't mention 8.1 OS. Thanks.
A: It does work with window 8.1 and apples iOS system so and I'm sure with all the upgrades it will work. It's wireless and I also use it for my VoIP without any problems. I originally purchased it to avoid paying the rental fee for xfinity and have not had any problems.
Q: Does this modem have a phone jack?
A: No. There is no phone jack. I am using one of the four ethernet jacks to connect an Ooma telephone appliance. It works well.
A: Operating system is irrelevant, as access to configuration is via web page. System only provides access to internet provided by Cable provider. Router function would work seamlessly regardless of platform.
Q: MoCA?
A: Other than a MOCA modem you will require a moca adapter on the other end of your cable wiring for each moca device that does not come with moca capability. Each moca adapter is about $20.00.
Q: Doest this Router work with Time warner cable ?
A: Absolutely. This unit will work with any cable provider, but only cable providers.
Q: Will this accessory work with Time Warner Cable?
A: I use this with TWC with no issue. They will request the MAC address on the modem so they can program their equipment to see your modem and activate it. I did have an issue getting mine to work at first on their system, to only find out some idiot did not program their equipment. It was working the following day perfectly, and still is 9 months later.
