A: This PC can go to 16GB of RAM. Been looking at doing a RAM upgrade myself, and I noticed according to the BIOS the 8GB stick already installed uses 1.5V. Most of the 8GB ones I was pricing out like yours are 1.2V, being that's the DDR4 standard and all. If you just added the new memory in addition to the old, try removing the old memory and just use the new. If it works you'll probably have to replace the original memory to get to 16GB.

A: No, the warranty is not affected. As a matter of fact, you will have to open the case to remove shipping foam that is placed inside the computer if you choose to have it shipped to your address.
