Q: What is the battery life like on this laptop?
A: It's about average. Not amazing. I think I got 4 hours on it doing average tasks like internet browsing.
Q: Can i add an extra m2 ssd and memory up to 16 Gb?
A: I would really like to know too. This model is supposed to have an m2 ssd slot , an 8 gb solderied to the board and a free ram slot for upgrade. At least thats what i see from previous models like G501JW-DS71, however there is almost no info about G501JW-BHI7N12. It would be awesome if an asus representative can clarify this.
Q: Am I able to upgrade the 5400rpm HDD to an SSD myself?
A: Yes, if you purchase a Sata to USB cable and use drive cloning software. You will also need to buy a special set of screwdrivers (Torx) size T4 or T5 to open it, they are tiny!
Q: Can this run GTA 5 or high games
A: Yes it can run almost any game. But frame rate would be questionable on extremely high end games. But on medium graphics you should have a very playable experience.

Q: how to make the keyboard light up
A: Press and hold the FN key on the bottom left of the keyboard and press f3 or f4 to adjust the keyboard back light settings.
