Q: Does it really have a GTX 970 in it?
A: This particular model does. I understand the confusion, because when I first was looking at it in best buy, they had a version that had similar stats but ran with ddr 3 memory for the ram and a gtx 960, but that model at the time was running for $1199.00 and came standard with windows 8.1(which was a deal killer for me as I had no desire to try to upgrade to windows 10, even for free due to problems I had with a previous attempt to upgrade from windows 7 to 10. The Asus ROG systems come with a couple of different flavors, so just make sure the box you grab lists the stats you want.
Q: Is this a quad-core processor?
A: Yes it is! Will run the programs you mention with no problem.
Q: Is there an additional slot for extra SSD?
A: Yes but you cant upgrade it without voiding your warranty.
Q: Can you take the Side Panel Off of the Case?
A: Yes, you can take the Side Panel Off the case.
Q: Is this desktop come with SSD?
A: This product does not include an SSD. It is capable of holding more hard drives.
Q: Does the asus rog20 come with a software disk?
A: No it does not come with software separate from what's on the hard drive.
Q: 4K Support?
A: Yes. The maximum resolution it is capable of is 5120x3200 and that's just by itself. There have been gamers running 60fps in native 4k with just one GTX 970, even though it is SLI capable.
Q: What's the hdmi port for that's not on the graphic card?
A: It is the hdmi from the integrated graphics chip on the motherboard and should not be used. Only the hdmi on the graphics card should be used so that you are using the appropriate hardware. This means if you bought it as I did for VR, you'll need to potentially get a DVI to hdmi or DisplayPort to HDMI adapter to use the monitor when the headset is plugged in.
