Q: I see there are a couple of returned items (open-box), does anyone know why?
A: I bet it would have to do with the screen mostly. Everything else about it is great, the screen is what really kills it.
A: The screen is a Chi Mei screen. It's a TN panel and has poor color reproduction and viewing angles. Not much you can do about it.
Q: Can somebody recommend me a better display for this laptop and where I can get it replaced?
A: I would recommend a samsung screen. Replacing is pretty simple, youtube will have directions on how to replace it or some computer repair place should do it.
Q: This laptop can play latest game in ultra or high settings?
A: Depends on the game. The 970M will play most current games at high settings on 1080P. Ultra can be achieved in some games.

A: This model unit is a 15.6" unit. It weighs 4.85 lbs and the battery of it can last up to 4 ~ 5 hours. It is portable enough/ergonomic for a college student
